Frode Mo, professor

A major activity over many years is related to the physical estimation of triplet phases from three-beam interference experiments in non-perfect crystals. Applications of these phases include: studies of structural phase transitions and solution of the phase problem in macromolecular crystallography. A more recent activity is time-resolved studies of states and processes in materials. Development of instrumentation for special applications is an integral part of several projects. Some projects involve collaboration with other research groups. Most of the projects require access to synchrotron radiation, and the group is an active user of the Swiss-Norwegian Beamlines and other beamlines at ESRF, Grenoble. Editor: Head of Dept.
