Criminology/Criminal Justice On-line Degree Completion Program Information
Welcome prospective criminology students. Here at UTPB, our criminology faculty have entered into an agreement with three other University of Texas schools (Brownsville, Arlington, and Dallas) to provide an “on-line” completion degree for students across Texas, the United States, and in other countries. This program uses the talent of professors from four University of Texas campuses (Arlington, Dallas, Brownsville, and Permian Basin [Odessa]), to make specific classes available to students who would like to complete their criminology or criminal justice degree without attending ‘normal in-class/on campus’ courses. The program is delivered through the Internet technology (WWW). Generally, these four campuses have determined the courses they feel best suit a criminology or criminal justice degree (and there is a difference between the two types of programs). Each school has or will prepare specific courses for the Web delivery of courses for the program. The courses will all be accepted at each of the four institutions as either required courses, elective courses, or “free” electives. What this means is that a student can choose which of the four schools programs of study they feel best fits their needs. Each school has slightly different course offerings and degree requirements. Some courses that might be required at one school, may be electives at another.

Please note that there was an incorrect URL and other information in the paragraph in this article on COPLINK. This information has now been corrected within the article. Our apologies to WhiteOak Communications, which represents COPLINK for its client, Knowledge Computing Corporation. While we still struggle with the more prosaic crimes such as murder, rape, arson, and fraud, we now have to worry about chemical and biological warfare, radioactive dirty bombs, cybercrime, cyberwarfare, and nuclear ballistic missile attack from dictatorial goons and extremist groups with deep pockets. Some even claim that the billions of dollars we pour into violent movies, brutal sports, and misogynistic music encourage violence.

International Bullying Project
Relationship management and prevention of bullying The problem of bullying in our schools and workplaces is of great concern to us in Australia. In order to effectively combat bullying, the federal government, states, communities, neighborhoods, schools, families, and workplaces should all work collaboratively. In seeking solutions to the bullying problem, whether it takes place in schools or in workplaces, we need to carefully investigate factors that are responsible for its occurrence. The research team in the Regulatory Institutions Network at the Australian National University has undertaken an array of projects to understand the bullying phenomenon from a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach.
The Life at School Project (1996-)
Valerie Braithwaite
Eliza Ahmed

Brenda Morrison This project tracked children who bullied others, and were the victims of bullying, and provides insight into their thoughts and actions over a three-year period. In addition, the responses of parents have been recorded, including reports on how they responded to their children's experiences and how they wished authorities and schools would respond. The responsiveness of schools, as perceived by children and parents, has been of central importance in this study. A program was developed in the Australian Capital Territory with primary school children to teach them to recognize bullying, to manage bullying problems, and to look after others who were encountering difficulties.

There's a real shortage of people with graduate degrees in this field. Remember the application deadline for most places is January, or March at the latest. The main thing is to sign up to take the GRE (Click on the GRE initials and register NOW if you haven't already). Welcome to the Camosun College Criminal Justice Program. The Criminal Justice Department and Camosun College are pleased that you have chosen to pursue a post-secondary education in the field of criminal justice. The Criminal Justice Program at Camosun College has existed since 1973. During the past 30+ years, it has evolved into a two-year University Transfer Program allowing students to enroll in a University to continue studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology and other related disciplines or to complete the two-year program and seek employment in the criminal justice field. In the Fall of 1994, the Criminal Justice Department began to offer a 20-course program culminating in an Associate of Arts Degree in addition to the Diploma in Criminal Justice facilitating the various University Transfer options. The program makes use of electives to provide flexibility in transfer options to a number of receiving universities in Canada . Approximately 110 students enter the Criminal Justice Program each September. The Program's academic year runs from September to April, or two semesters. Each semester is followed by a 2-week final exam period. No fieldwork is involved in the Criminal Justice Program; it is strictly academically-oriented. As Criminal Justice students make up one of the largest program groups on the College campus, and obviously share related educational and career goals, they tend to form a tightly knit "society" of their own. Second-year students can often be easily identified by their distinctive "Criminology" jackets or sweatshirts. Each year, the second-year students organize several fund-raising projects to pay for their recognition ceremony.
