Welcome to the Department of Applied Criminology
The struggle between good and evil is as old as time. It strikes at the nature of the human heart and defines the character of a society. That's why Western Carolina University's degree in Criminal Justice means law enforcement and much more. It calls for an understanding of a wide range of disciplines: philosophy, psychology, sociology, and political science, to name a few. but specifically, Criminal Justice involves the law, criminal behavior, and the arena in which the two ultimately meet: the United States justice system. Supporting the drama are the Constitution and our democratic society. A lot to ask of just one major? We don't think so. We want you to be highly qualified for a wide range of positions after graduation.
