    Welcome to Costa Rica!
Costa Rica is mostly known as a country with a unusual political stability and social welfare in Latin America. Located in Central America, is similar in size to Switzerland, and 150 times smaller than Australia. The Scout Movement in Costa Rica started a few years after Brownsea, and since then has been one of the most popular activities for the young people. During 1973 and 1976 the two main organizations (Asociación de Boy Scouts and Asociación de Girl Scouts) merged. Male and female branches work together since then. Now, its membership totalizes more o less 10,000 members plus adult leaders, and there are more than 150 Groups around the country. The Grupo 94 was founded in 1973 at a suburban area east from San José, the capital city. We are very happy to share the World of Scouting through Internet and we hope we will make a lot of new friends.
