We specialize in supplying baby birds to pet stores, other breeders and experienced bird handlers. We recommend visiting the Aviary Birdshop We are a closed aviary with over 10 years of breeding experience. Some of our pairs have been breeding successfully for over these 10 years. All babies are hatched and hand raised on premises and cared for by all four partners. Babies and breeding stock alike have an environment provided to meet their needs physically and emotionally. Many of our breeding birds were originally pets and produce sweet, gentle babies. The health of all birds is monitored with veterinary visits and lab work. We have an excellent working relationship with several avian veterinarians. You can check on the variety of babies available and we know you would be impressed with their appearance and temperament. Indian Ringneck Breeders For Sale!!!
WELCOME
Since 1991, Flight School Aviaries has been proudly producing the most beautiful, healthy and well-socialized baby parrots to be found anywhere. We are a comparatively small breeding facility, a "boutique" bird farm, and we like it that way because if affords us the ability to devote a great deal of care and attention to the birds we produce. At Flight School, the emphasis is on developing the personality and potential of each individual bird. We offer macaws, cockatoos, Amazons, conures, Africans, Eclectus, caiques and a wide variety of Asian parakeets.
All our hand-fed, closed-banded babies are produced here on our five-acre farm in Palm Beach County, Florida. Year round, our breeders are fed a healthy blend of fresh fruits, vegetables and greens combined with soaked corn, sprouted beans and a high-quality seed mixture. They live in outdoor aviaries where they enjoy access to the Florida sunlight and where they love to bathe themselves in the frequent rain.
Aviculture is a full-time pursuit for both of us. Flight School Aviaries is our life's work, and we strive to provide the sweetest, prettiest, healthiest baby birds available, birds that will enrich your life with love and companionship for many years to come.

In fact a wild flock was even reported to be thriving in Brooklyn, New York in spite of the freezing temperatures. Mitred Conures are very affectionate, intelligent birds and get along well with other Conures. They can learn a variety of words and phrases, and love nothing better than playing or cuddling with their owners. In the wild, Mitred Conures flock together in large numbers, which is why they love company in captivity. They love bathing and need a variety of chew toys to keep them from becoming bored. Mitred Conures should be fed a good seed mix with some sprouted seeds. They also need a variety of fruits and vegetables or green foods. Flowering branches are always appreciated by Mitred Conures, just make sure that they are not going to be poisonous to your new friend. Mitred Conures are very curious, playful birds and are fun to watch as well as to interact with!

Many, really too many, wild-caught conures are still being imported. Wholesalers routinely stock hundreds of Nandays, Mitred, Cherry-Head, Blue-Front, Maroon-Bellied, and several other species of conures. Unfortunately most `bronco' conures are purchased, because of the cheap price, by people looking for a pet. This is a terrible mistake on the part of both the pet buyer and the merchant. A wild-caught conure can not be expected to become tame and friendly. Conures are among the loudest of all parrots. Though macaws and cockatoos yell with higher volume, conures are the most persistent screamers. You must be prepared for a conure to squawk all day long. After several months of a bird that only hollers and bites, the novice parrot owner will often dump the bird. If the wild conure is kept, since it is deprived of the company of its own kind, the bird will probably start to pluck its own feathers. For the same price as a wild conure, a tame, hand-reared cockatiel may be acquired. Most shop owners now realize that this is the better bargain all round. A tame cockatiel makes a loving pet that will be cherished. With a good initial experience in birds, people soon want other, more exotic, tame parrots. Buying a wild parrot as a pet is a mistake. You are cruelly keeping a social bird in solitary confinement and you are throwing your money away.

Conures are colorful, clever, charismatic clowns that can be a never-ending source of enjoyment for their owners. All of this, combined with the fact that they are reasonably priced, creates a large demand by pct shops nationwide.
This demand must be met by captive-breeding in the United States. Private aviculturists have fared quite well in this area. Since a flight cage of only 3 to 4 feet in length will make most conure pairs happy, they are a bird that most people can find the room to breed, if they should so choose.
Almost all of the conures can be divided into one of four groups that differ from one another in some major way concerning breeding habits. There are a few "outsiders" that do not fit clearly into any of the four groups, but these are the exception to the rule and can usually be placed as intermediates between two of the major groups. What follows is a rundown of the conures most commonly available.
Green Conure Group
The first group, and the largest in body size of those commonly available, is the green conure group. These are classified scientifically under the genus name Aratinga. (The macaws are classified under the name Ara, and these large green conures are, as the name implies, very closely related to the macaws. This relationship has been demonstrated by the fact that hybrid offspring from a cross between a noble macaw and a mitred conure have produced fertile eggs.) This group consists of the blue-crowned, mitred, cherry-headed, red-fronted, white-eyed, Finch's, green and red-throated conures. The blue crown is a bit afield of this group (toward the macaws), but its breeding habits and seasons are very close to the rest of this group.

100. The Gold-Capped, Jenday And Sun Conures
Due to the mass availability of sun conures at the time, Today, the demand for sun conures is supplied completely by domestic breeding, as is the case

The Gold-Capped, Jenday and Sun Conures

Most texts show the gold-capped, jenday and sun conures to be three distinct species of the same genus, named Aratinga . This arrangement shows the relationship between the three to be no different than the relationship between the sun conure and the mitred conure. To the majority of aviculturists who have worked with suns, jendays and gold caps, however, it is obvious that a much closer relationship exists between these three conures than just the genus name Aratinga would imply.
Gold-Capped Conure ( Aratinga auricapilla
The gold-capped conure ( Aratinga auricapilla ) is a medium-sized conure from southeastern Brazil. Gold caps were imported in limited quantities during a short period of time before it was realized that some countries were exporting birds originally captured in Brazil (a country that does not allow export). Fortunately, a reasonable number of these original imports were purchased by competent aviculturists.
These birds have proven to be reliable and prolific breeders in captivity. Indeed, we at Voren's Aviaries have produced over 1,000 gold caps, jendays and suns over a period of 15 years. They are usually willing to nest at any time of the year if the conditions are right, but they will not begin a new round of nesting if the weather is too hot. They have been known to nest up to four times per year. The number of clutches per year is highly dependent on how long the babies are left in the nest before being pulled for hand-raising. The usual clutch size is three, but four chicks are not uncommon. Hand-raised babies make excellent pets, and gold caps have by far the best pet personality of the gold cap, jenday and sun conure group. They are especially sought after by pet shops that have had experiences with them. This is because they tend to maintain their tameness without handling longer than either the jenday or sun conures.
