Well, not the last minute, but the last 6-8 weeks. Why is that, you might ask? Two reasons: Movie studios keep juggling their release dates to maximize their impact both for top movie-going season and for Oscar eligibility; and once movies have been shown in previews a few times, they are sometimes pulled back in for major editing. REEL HOPE is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, December 7.

The ECAP Collaborative is home to more than a dozen projects that focus on educating and raising young children. A major emphasis is the importance of social-emotional development, and its relationship to school readiness. ECAP supports research, technical assistance, and service projects. In addition, ECAP collects and describes the literature on elementary and early education, care, and child development.
The Prekindergarten Research in Progress database provides descriptions of ongoing or recently completed studies of State-funded prekindergarten programs, or studies that use State-funded prekindergarten programs as one of several settings for research. Two examples are (1) The National Survey of Lead Teachers in State-Funded Prekindergarten Programs (also known as the National Prekindergarten Study), and (2) a study of parent involvement in rural Illinois state-funded prekindergarten programs conducted by Dr. Brent McBride at the University of Illinois. Project staff plan to add several records to the database each month.

Our Mission
The Colorado Chapter of the International Code Council is dedicated to the improvement of building safety, by promoting and improving the International Codes, educating the building industry, public, and our membership, and providing mutual aid to building professionals.
I.C.C. is Dedicated to Building A Safer World.
President's Message
I received the following request from the ICC and wanted to pass this along to our membership:
Dear Chapter Leader:
Hurricane Dennis was a very dangerous storm packing maximum sustained winds of 120 mph. Dennis’ destructive forces were felt inland through southeastern Mississippi, the southern half of Alabama and the southern half of Georgia. As Dennis moved inland through southwestern Alabama, hurricane-force winds and heavy rain penetrated far inland.
With such a large storm system, some communities impacted by the storm may need assistance in their recovery efforts. If you would be interested in helping out jurisdictions in the aftermath of this or any natural disaster, the International Code Council Disaster Response Committee (DRC) could use your help. As a building or fire safety professional, you know how important building safety is, especially in the face of such devastation. Your knowledge and experience in recovery could be of great use to communities who have been overwhelmed.

There is no government agency or other authority that screens and controls the information posted to the World Wide Web. The Web encourages the open exchange of ideas, which is why access to the Web has been banned in some countries. However, this means that users must evaluate the information they find on the Web because the quality of information is so variable. Luckily, the web can be "self-correcting" - because of the convenience of the Web it is just as easy to find correct information as it is to find incorrect information! If users compare the evidence from a number of Web sites, then they can make informed decisions.
