Facilities Coeur de Catherine Centers of Excellence The 3M Foundation has supported the faculty since 2002 through Vision Grants. In addition, in May 2004, the 3M Foundation awarded $564,745 to the Center of Excellence for Women, Science and Technology In the 2003-2004 year, members of the faculty received research and project support from a wide range of foundations, including the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Foundation, the Jay and Rose Phillips Family Foundation, the Medica Foundation and the Women's Foundation of Minnesota . The faculty members who received support are Jyothi Gupta, Kathleen Matuska, Tony Murphy and Laurie Swabey. The St. Paul Foundation ($150,000) and the F. R. Bigelow Foundation ($200,000) gave the Centers of Excellence The Otto Bremer Foundation awarded $150,000 over three years to the College for ongoing program support for the Center for Women, Economic Justice and Public Policy Clare Boothe Luce Program of The Henry Luce Foundation, Inc., awarded the College a $250,608 grant to underwrite scholarships to students majoring in engineering, or in science, math, physics or computer science. The grant gives the College the resources to enhance its engineering programs, increase its capacity to increase participation in the sciences, especially engineering, and develop sustainable systems for its science programs.
