In addition, in May 2004, the 3M Foundation awarded $564,745 to the Center of Excellence for Women, Science and Technology In the 2003-2004 year, members of the faculty received research and project support from a wide range of foundations, including the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Foundation, the Jay and Rose Phillips Family Foundation, the Medica Foundation and the Women's Foundation of Minnesota . The faculty members who received support are Jyothi Gupta, Kathleen Matuska, Tony Murphy and Laurie Swabey. The St. Paul Foundation ($150,000) and the F. R.
