Academic scholarships are only awarded to incoming first-year students. Awards for returning students are automatically renewed provided the student meets the criteria for renewing merit-based financial aid All students must reapply for need-based financial aid each year. Returning students must submit the FAFSA or renewal FAFSA (Kenyon code 003065) as well as the PROFILE (Kenyon code 1370) by April 1 of each year. In addition, the Kenyon College Financial Aid Verification Statement along with signed copies of completed federal income tax returns for both the student and parents are required to be considered for need-based financial aid. Financial-aid awards are always contingent upon funding levels established by the College and the need levels demonstrated each year on the financial-aid applications. Conditions Governing Renewal of Need-Based Financial Aid Conditions Governing Renewal of Merit-Based Financial Aid Conditions Governing Renewal of Need-Based Financial Aid Kenyon College students are eligible to receive need-based financial aid for eight semesters of full-time attendance. Information on applying for financial aid as a transfer student.
http://www.kenyon.edu/x8771.xml
Calendar Contact Kenyon Search Parents ... Applying for Financial Aid: Transfer students Applying for Financial Aid: Transfer students
To determine a student's financial need, the College uses two "needs analysis" tools, requiring a financial aid applicant's family to submit a PROFILE (Kenyon code 003065) to College Scholarship Service and a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (Kenyon code 1370) to the federal processor. Please consult the financial aid deadlines chart to determine the correct deadline for your PROFILE and FAFSA applications. The information provided on the PROFILE and FAFSA is analyzed using standard formulas. The result of the analysis is a calculation of what the family is expected to contribute toward the cost of attending Kenyon from parental and student assets and incomes. Please note that transfer applicants seeking financial aid must submit all required aid documents (PROFILE, FAFSA, Kenyon College Verification Statement , parent and student federal income tax forms) to the Kenyon College Office of Financial Aid before consideration for admission will occur. The difference between what is determined that the student's family can contribute and the cost of attending the College is defined as the student's financial need. The need is then provided for by a financial-aid package. An estimate of your expected family contribution may be obtained from www.finaid.org/calculators
