At Arlington Christian School, the emphasis is upon providing a healthy and well-balanced environment-one in which all students can form worthwhile and meaningful life-long goals. Accreditation
High School is more than just a time of textbooks and studying. Friendships, activities, working with teachers who care about you, and feeling good about yourself are part of "growing up" at Arlington Christian School. Important for post-high school pursuits is the fact that Arlington is accredited by both state and regional accrediting commissions. It is accredited "with quality" by the Georgia Accrediting Commission, and it is accredited by the respected Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). This stamp of approval guarantees that credits earned at ACS will be accepted without question by colleges, universities, and other high schools.
Christian School
Permeating life at Arlington is a commitment to be a Christian school. Bible classes are a regular part of our academics, just like English, Math, and Foreign Languages. These Bible classes are designed to represent the Bible as God's message for today for standards and values and to equip students with the tools needed for lifelong personal study. Also, a focal point of each day is the chapel/assembly time.

Update from Dr. Armstrong
Southwest Christian School is committed to graduating Christian leaders who are prepared to meet the academic, social, and spiritual demands of college and adult life. School leadership, faculty, and parents have joined together in implementing a three year strategic plan to fulfill our vision of equipping our graduates to be Christian world leaders.
Our academic course offerings provide challenging opportunities for each level of learning. Beginning with the middle school years, our students are provided with a wide range of academic and fine arts experiences designed to encourage individual growth and development. Classes are heterogeneously grouped as students work with teachers who are middle school specialists in each of the content areas. Differentiated teaching and assessment strategies are used to support middle school learning styles and interests. Middle school athletic programs encourage a healthy competitive spirit and our social events are carefully planned to be age-appropriate for early adolescents.
Our recent partnership with Texas Wesleyan University now allows us to offer our Junior and Senior students the additional option of receiving college credit for classes taught on our campus by our faculty. Students choosing dual credit classes can earn 3-6 semester credits per class while meeting our requirements for graduation. Students who select this option receive a college transcript from Texas Wesleyan University in addition to their diploma from Southwest Christian School when they graduate.

Education at Central Christian College
Central has a long history of educating our nations teachers! The field of education is the most commonly pursued occupation among all of our alumni. Currently, Central does not offer education certification, however, our students have been successful at obtaining teaching positions by:
  • Obtaining a two-year degree at Central and then transferring to nearby Tabor College via a formal articulation agreement or to many other colleges/universities who offer teacher certification.
Finishing a bachelor's degree at Central (most often in Liberal Studies), then obtaining regular certification through a certified program. This usually takes another year of college work.
Finishing a bachelor's degree at Central and obtaining emergency certification for special situations in various school districts around the country such as magnet schools, filling teacher shortage positions in various disciplines, substituting, etc.
Finishing a bachelor's degree at Central christian College, then applying to teach at one of the many Christian elementary, junior high, and/or high schools across America. Some of the Christian schools do not require certification, while others may allow you to teach and receive certification while you are employed. It may also depend on whether they are accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)
  • Plans are currently underway to develop a state approved four-year education program at Central Christian in elementary education. The Kansas State Department of Education has indicated the process could take from three to five years. Secondary Education programs may be added in the future as appropriate academic majors are developed.
