Welcome To WorldLink Education's China Programs!
WorldLink Education offers unique and affordable programs to persons worldwide wishing to study in China. These outstanding China programs are focused on providing total immersion in each area of study. All programs combine core classes with after-class tutorial or training, interaction with native speakers and electives.
Choose from:
  • CHINESE LANGUAGE
WLE's leading Chinese Language immersion programs are specially designed to provide the most comprehensive and balanced curriculum, combining class instruction with free after-class language tuition, language exchange with native speakers, and electives. Accelerated teaching methods allow students at lower proficiency levels to acquire language skills required for effective communication in a short period of time, and advanced students to gain expression proficiency at an abstract level. The Mandarin Chinese programs are held in China's leading universities in Beijing. Beijing is regarded as the optimal learning environment for standard Mandarin Chinese 'putonghua', and ideal for language immersion. Teachers and supervisors are native speakers who are highly experienced and qualified, and hold university degrees in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. All levels are available.

Essay on how the government propaganda and campaigns have almost killed chinese dialects in Singapore.
http://sunflower.singnet.com.sg/~bluesky/dialect.html
Welcome to
The Speak Dialect HomePage
Government propaganda and campaigns have almost killed Chinese dialects in Singapore. However, our dialects are what links us to our roots. Are you going let hundreds or even thousands of years of your culture go down the drain because someone up there wants you to speak Mandarin? I am trying to collect a set of links to websites discussing the various dialects. As a Hakka (and proud of it), I have started off with links to Hakka websites. If you know of any other Hokkien, Cantonese etc websites, please email me.
About the Speak Dialect Campaign
The Speak Dialect Campaign is not to prevent the use and learning of Mandarin. In the early part of this century, it was still possible to learn Cantonese or even Hakka in schools. One of my grandmothers read Chinese newspapers in Hakka. However, since the imposition of Mandarin as the PuTongHua in China, the easiest way to learn to read and write Chinese (in South-East Asia) is to learn it in Mandarin. The aim of this campaign is to counter at least two untruths about the Speak Mandarin Campaign in Singapore.
  • Mandarin is our mothertongue
  • The way to learn about our ancestral culture is to speak Mandarin A third untruth, from the keyboard of Young PAP Internet Committee Chairman, Harold Fock, claims that Mandarin is needed to communicate with the older generation of Chinese in Singapore.
