This is the website for the Welsh Books Council’s Children’s Books Department. The site lists books and other English-language materials which relate in some way to Wales and the Welsh way of life, and is distributed to schools, libraries and bookshops throughout Wales. The website also provides information on the services available to schools and libraries, details of book clubs, activities, competitions and initiatives in Wales. It is full of information regarding Welsh Books Council promotional schemes to promote the reading of Welsh books amongst young people. IRSCL - Application for membership The purpose of the IRSCL is to further research into children's and young people's literature, reading and related fields. Thus the primary aim of the Society is that professional information be exchanged, theoretical questions discussed, research initiated and, if possible, coordinated.
