The primary mission of the National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care is to promote health and safety in out-of-home child care settings throughout the nation. National Child Care Information Center
The National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC), a project of the Child Care Bureau, Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is a national resource that links information and people to complement, enhance, and promote the child care delivery system, working to ensure that all children and families have access to high-quality comprehensive services. USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program plays a vital role in improving the quality of day care and making it more affordable for many low-income families. The focus of the grant is to provide needed baseline information encouraging funding at the local, state, and federal levels to create and sustain a quality afterschool workforce. The National AfterSchool Association, formerly the National School-Age Care Alliance, is the leading voice of the afterschool profession dedicated to the development, education, and care of children and youth during their out-of-school hours.
