Our Mission: "To provide transformative learning experiences to kids of all ages, under one roof." Someone once said that "a boy is the only known substance from which a man is made". The same also applies to girls. We are in the business of transforming raw kidstuff into enriched kid material capable of becoming and doing much more in later years. Our mission is vital to future generations, and ours is the opportunity to transform kids of all ages. We transform non-readers into readers, game-players into problem-solvers, fighters into listeners, timid into confident, distracted into fascinated, less fit into more fit. "I don't know" becomes "let me see". "I can't" becomes "let me try". "Let me try" becomes "I did". "I did" becomes "we did". This is powerful transformative learning, and we are the catalyst.
Hear what our parents and kids have to say about our programs:
"My kids have better manners at home, and teach me something new every day. My 4-year old has also taken a real liking to books!"

Day Nurseries, kindergartens and after-school care
Day Nurseries
Day nurseries are for small children up to age three. Group sizes and the number of nursery school teachers are geared towards the needs of small children in that age group. Special emphasis is placed on making children feel safe and sheltered while catering to their need for physical activity. There is a team of four (two nursery school teachers and two assistants) looking after each group, with a maximum of 15 children per group. In Vienna there is a total of 304 day nurseries for approximately 5,000 children.
Kindergartens
For children aged three to six there are kindergartens to prepare them for life in the community in a holistic approach. Nursery school teachers make sure the day at kindergarten is full of incentives so that children can make plenty of experience and acquire knowledge at the same time. Included in the programme are outings, cultural events and sports activities. Many kindergartens offer Montessori teaching methods, English language courses and give a first introduction to computers. Up to 25 children are taken care of in one group. Responsibilities are shared by a team of three (two nursery school teachers and one assistant). In Vienna there is a total of 873 kindergarten groups for approximately 20,500 children.

Child Care
As more women and mothers enter the workforce, child care has become an increasingly important public policy issue. Many families, particularly those with modest incomes, have trouble financing its cost. Poor quality of care is another persistent problem. Low wages for child care workers tend to promote high turnover and inexperienced providers, and a patchwork of state regulations inadequately address these concerns. The federal and state governments have a number of programs that tackle some of these issues, but many problems still remain unsolved. The Growing Need for Child Care As more and more women have moved, by necessity or choice, from the home to the workforce, the need for affordable, high-quality child care has become critical. Sadly, this need often goes unmet. Each week nearly 5 million children are left unsupervised after school. This lack of supervision is associated with increased drug use, juvenile delinquency, and crime. Child Care Affordability Nearly half of working families and mothers who are able to find child care rely on family members, including parents and other relatives. The rest arrange for care through private providers. Parents often face steep costs and questionable quality of care.
