What do I need to know about my child's behavior?
When you want to change an unwanted behavior, it helps to first understand why your child is doing it. See Understanding Behavior: a Key to Discipline for some things to think about when your child's behavior becomes a problem. What should I know about temper tantrums?
Temper tantrums are a normal part of growing up. They are part of a child learning self-control. Usually, they stop by age 4. To help you learn why kids have tantrums and for tips on how to avoid them, see the American Academy of Pediatrics page on temper tantrums What can I do to help my angry or aggressive child?

Scientology Books, Literature and Courses for Parents
The Church of Scientology International has created this web site to help parents by making Scientology literature and courses easy for parents to find. What skills do parents need to have? What can be done to help a child who has learning difficulties Are there Scientology books or courses that present solution to behavior problems Do you have to put your child on drugs to handle problems he or she is having at school Why do children turn to drugs and violence How can parents establish strong enough relationships with their children that they will come to them when they are in trouble? And what can parents do to make sure their children gain the skill and judgment they will need to survive in the highly technological and often impersonal and uncaring civilization they are about to enter as young adults? At churches of Scientology around the world we have been helping parents with these and other similar questions for years. There are many Scientology books, articles and courses that provide effective solutions to these problems.

91. Parenting Magazine Features Parenting Advice And Insights
Newsletter with articles on child development, behavior, discipline and other issues.
http://www.parenting-child-development.com/
Parenting Magazine Helps You Create a Loving and Respectful Relationship with Your Child
A good parenting magazine with wise advice is important because your children matter. As a caring adult, you want to give your kids the best. So you strive hard to understand child development and discipline. You work hard for your family and give them more than you had as a child. You get a parenting magazine subscription and read some books. But have you ever asked yourself what you want from this relationship?
In your heart of hearts, if you imagined the best possible outcome for yourself and your family, what would you foresee?
Would you feel fulfilled if your children grew up to honor, cherish and respect you?
Every parent would.
But how do you create this, especially if you don't enjoy a healthy relationship with your parents? And can you really learn this stuff from a parenting magazine?
How do you change the way you raise your kids, if you're flying blind and making it up as you go along?
Where did you learn how to raise kids anyway? Did you go to school and get a Masters in child development?
Probably not. (And don't worry ... you don't need one.)
