Start with the About Chess Organizations link, where we list the chess organizations for the principle English-speaking countries. If your country is not listed there, see the FIDE link on the same page. The FIDE Directory lists all FIDE member federations in alphabetical order. Most entries have the national federation's postal address, phone/fax, email, president, and FIDE delegate, as well as the International Arbiters from that country. Even more important is the address of the federation's website, the key to finding clubs in that country.

Association information, membership information, contact information for Montana chess clubs, and upcoming event information.
http://www.montanachess.com/index1.htm
This is the first official website of the Montana Chess Association. Created in June 2000, the site operated actively until June 2002.
Welcome to Montana Chess! Our association has been around since 1935 and is one of the most organized in the country.
The MCA has a very good tournament circuit, a well-organized process for determining a state champion, an active board of directors and a community of players who enjoy getting together to enjoy the game of chess.
Despite the small population of the state, there are some strong players in Big Sky Country. Relative to the average strength for USCF ratings, it is believed that Montana players are underrated by at least 100 points. Good chess is played here!
Membership in the MCA entitles you to receive a newsletter (five times per year) with recent tournament scores and games, along with news of coming events and the chance to participate in USCF-rated tourneys.
Enjoy your visit to our site!

With the recent launch of the Philadelphia Youth Chess Challenge by the local nonprofit After School Activities Partnerships (ASAP) in partnership with the District, students at more than 70 District elementary, middle, and high schools across the city now have the chance to learn the game through afterschool clubs. The initiative involves about 1,000 students at over 70 schools that currently have active chess clubs. The clubs range in size from 7 to 54 students. ASAP executive director and veteran education advocate Marciene Mattleman said plans are in the works to launch a citywide chess league starting next year. Proponents of this citywide chess initiative consistently say fundraising to sustain this program is an ongoing challenge.
