The School of Allied Medical Professions has appointed Jeff Riley as Interim Director of the Circulation Technology Division with effect June 1. Mr. Riley succeeds Dr. Philip D. Beckley as he enters retirement. We have had the fortune of Dr. Beckley's commitment, knowledge and guidance for 30 years. The Circulation Technology Division has the fortune to have Dr. Beckley continue his participation in the division beginning Autumn 2005 on a part time basis. Welcoming the appointment of Jeff Riley as director the Division is delighted to have a leader as connected with education, industry, professional organizations and the perfusion community. Jeff's entire 30 year career has been in the practice, education or management of perfusion. Jeff will ensure that OSU continues to be one the top perfusion education programs offering a bachelor of science, post baccalaureate degree and combined masters of science in allied health professions. The education mission of the Circulation Technology division will continue to be center stage. As always our mission will extend to our professional colleagues through extensive continuing education offerings both in international conferences and web based opportunities. Jeff will support continued research activities in the clinic and laboratory while pursuing new opportunities for clinicians to work with students. The Circulation Technology division will continue to be a driving force in the perfusion community supporting the growth or our professional colleagues through quality education and research activities.
