Cervical Dysplasia Causes - What Is Cervical Dysplasia?
Cervical dysplasia means that there is abnormal cell growth (dysplasia) in the cervix. The cervix is the firm, smooth organ that forms the entrance to the uterus in the female reproductive system. Cell growth is considered abnormal when some areas of cervical cells are immature compared with their normal neighbors. They also divide faster than expected, and their nuclei show specific types of microscopic changes. Cervical dysplasia is an important health problem because it sometimes, but not always, progresses to cervical cancer. Cervical dysplasia is a laboratory diagnosis made on the tiny sample of cervical tissue taken for a Pap smear. Depending on the specific naming system used, cervical dysplasia may also be calledsquamous intraepithelial lesion (SIL) or cervical intraepithelialneoplasia (CIN). When a Pap smear is examined under a microscope and abnormal cervical cells involve the lower third of the specimen, the condition is described as "mild" cervical dysplasia (low-grade SIL or CIN 1). If abnormal cervical cells are found on larger portions of the specimen, the condition is described as "moderate" or "severe" cervical dysplasia (high-grade SIL or CIN 2 or 3).

general cancer hotline from the American Institute for cancer Research 800843-8114,extension 37 (MF 9am - 5pm Eastern time). The have guides available
http://www.coral.net/cancer/pancreas.html
This page is not meant to provide medical opinions, but attempts to provide overview/contact/starting information for those with pancreatic or other types of cancer. We found a lot of information when my mother was diagnosed ( details here - soon) and thought others might benefit from it. You should consult with a Dr. regarding any medical opinions. Everyone listed should consult with you free of charge to see if you could benefit from seeing them. All links were working, but if you discover one that is not working, please let us know . If you have another site or phone number that you think should be here, alsolet us know. Corrections are also welcome, but please be nice :-) One note, time is important. If you believe you have cancer, do not delay in getting checked because cancer caught early is more likely to be treatable. Days and weeks may count - at some point all cancer becomes much more difficult to treat and since you do not know whether that day is next month or next year you should treat it like it is sooner and hope it is later.
This is not to be alarmist, but if it is cancer, time counts, and if it is not cancer then you'll be relieved all that much sooner. Finally, as far as the statistics go everyone is different so don't accept the statistics, get involved and talk to your doctor. .

    General Health Tips during Treatment
Following any cancer diagnosis, there is often a sense of shock or disbelief, and an inability to face the reality of what is happening. This may be followed by anger, bargaining, or guilt, followed by depression. Ultimately, there is an acceptance that enables a person to continue to fight and maintain a positive attitude despite what might seem to be overwhelming odds.
    What can you do?
    • Stay away from people who have colds or the flu. Get the rest you need and pace yourself. Talk about your feelings to deal with any sadness, anger, or fear you may have. Work as a team with your healthcare providers . Knowing how to help yourself can make you feel more in control.

The workplace Talk with your employer about your needs and wishes . You may be able to agree on a part-time schedule, find an area for a short nap during the day, or perhaps you can do some of your work at home. Fatigue Fatigue from cancer feels different from fatigue of everyday life. Fatigue caused by chemotherapy can appear suddenly. Not everyone feels the same kind of fatigue. You may not feel tired, while someone else does. It can last days, weeks, or months. Not only does severe fatigue go away as the tumor responds to treatment, but there are always ways for you to cope.
