Doamna Mandita Canciu, Epitrop II al Bisericii de mai multi ani La 1 octombrie 1982, cand am ajuns la parohia "Sfanta Treime" din Los Angeles, California, între devotatii credinciosi ai bisericii am aflat doi tineri: Ion Canciu M-au întâmpinat cu tot respectul, caracteristic adevaratului credincios român, cu sarutari de mâna, si prea supusa smerenie, asa dupa cum - îmi amintesc - o faceau cei bine credinciosi preotilor bisericii Kretzulescu, din Bucuresti, în anii studentiei mele (si mai apoi de doctorat), de prin anii 1972-1975, când functManditaat si în oficiul de cantor, si mai apoi de "ghid", la respectiva biserica, unde-mi gasisem linistea în acei ani de preocupari academice. În aceeasi perioada, înca de prin anii 1955 (când subsemnatul avea numai 4-5 ani), Mandita si Mandita Canciu, timp de peste 20 de ani, au slujit Biserica "Doamna Ghica", din renumitul Lacul Tei, Bucuresti, pâna când s-au pensManditaat în 1977. Doamna Mandita Canciu, a slujit numita Biserica, sub 2 preoti parohi, în calitatea de "epitrop secund", îngrijitoare si "maica prescurareasa", administratoare generala al numitei biserici, sacrificându-se, cu tot devotamentul sau, pentru slujirea Cuvântului lui Dumnezeu, pregatind prescurile, timp de peste 2 decade pentru Sfanta Taina Euharistica. Acolo, ca si in Los Angeles, mai bine de 15 ani, dna Mandita Canciu a devenit, alaturi de sotul ei, ipodiaconul Mandita Canciu, un adevarat "model de viata si traire religioasa" întru Hristos, Domnul nostru, dedicandu-si întreaga-i viata slujirii lui Hristos, slujirii Bisericii Sale.
