Why Get dental coverage?
Click Here... DHMO - Dental Health Maintenance Organization Typically, the least expensive of dental plans . All dental services are provided by professional dentists who agree to provide specific treatements and services to patients at no charge (some services may require a co-payment.) DHMO plans reward participating dentists who keep patients in good health, thereby keeping plan costs low. Dentists are paid directly by the insurance company for each individual, regardless of how much or how often covered services are used. back to top Indemnity Usually allows the patient to go to the dentist of their choice. These plans generally pay a portion of the dentist's fee or a set dollar amount (usually, whichever is less). Payments may be made to the insured member or, by assignment, directly to the dentist. If there is a difference between the amount paid and the dentist's full charge and the amount paid, the individual usually pays the difference. back to top ppo - preferred provider organization Generally less expensive than Indemnity dental plans . Individuals select their dentist from a network or listing of dental providers who have agreed by contract to reduce their fees. Individuals can also seek treatment from dentists outside of the PPO (non-participating dentists) but may be responsible for higher deductibles and/or co-payments.

    Starting A Small Business
By: Gary Foreman I'm currently working for a cleaning company and don't mind the work. It works out really well with my children. However, I've recently started collecting checks from the clients to turn in to the company. Now I feel so cheated! I make $8 an hour and I'm seeing these checks...$80-100 a whack for my work. I knew from the get go my pay was only a fraction of what I was making for the company, but I guess it took me actually seeing the checks for it to hit me.
So now I'm considering getting into the business on my own. My plan is to start off small, making up some flyers to post around my area. I also have in mind to give some to friends or leaving them with business owners I know. Do I need to be bonded to start out small like that? What is the cost of getting bonded? Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Rita Like many employees, Rita is wondering if she should take the plunge into small business ownership. Many do. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are over 17.6 million businesses with the owner being the only employee. The same report indicates that 20% of the new businesses started in the previous year were for janitorial services. If Rita is serious about making a change, there are some preliminary steps that could help her make a good decision. Let's walk through some of those steps.

Ask the Small Biz Adviser
By Stephen Windhaus For the entrepreneur who is supporting a wife and children, getting health insurance coverage for the family can make earning a living even more difficult. Dear Small Biz Adviser
I am interested in learning where I can obtain information about purchasing health insurance for my family (three members) at group rates. My husband owns a small business, consisting of just himself. How can I find out if it is possible to form a group, in order to purchase more affordable health insurance? Thank you for your anticipated response.
Concerned Dear Concerned:
Being self-employed and a father of two, I empathize with your concerns about protecting your family. Health insurance for small-business owners has been an issue of great concern from many years. In fact, a recent survey put the cost of health care as small-business owners' No. 1 concern the same rank it's held in the survey for the past 14 years.

SMALL AND FAMILY BUSINESS GROUP In today's modern legal and business climate, small businesses and family businesses routinely need expert legal advice as much as larger businesses. For example, just as big companies do, smaller businesses hire and discipline employees, rent or buy real estate for their offices or facilities, contract with suppliers and customers, use and buy computer systems, collect accounts receivable, expand by purchasing other businesses, and sell their businesses. Small business owners also face personal financial and estate planning issues, which are just as important to them as those confronted by the CEO of a major corporation. However, small businesses have special needs that larger enterprises often do not. Legal budgets are typically tighter. Each legal issue frequently has a larger impact upon the success or failure of the business. Disputes among owners can paralyze business operations. Family-run businesses often face succession issues, as younger generations begin to play a greater role in management. Serious estate and tax issues can arise upon the death of family business owners. is composed of attorneys and paraprofessionals who have substantial experience in the business and legal issues commonly confronted by small businesses and family businesses. They come from a variety of the Firm's departments. Each brings an expertise in a specialty area of the law, enabling them to provide reliable solutions to legal problems based upon their up-to-date familiarity with the law as it constantly changes and evolves. In addition, their expert knowledge of their fields allows them to provide answers in significantly less time than attorneys with only a passing familiarity with the issues and the law, in turn reducing our clients' legal costs.
