Stay at Home, Work at Home
What does it take to be a stay at home parent For most families, this means sacrifice. You have to cut expenses to get by on a single income. Alternatively, the parent staying at home with the kids has to find a legitimate work at home job or a home business opportunity to earn money from home. None of these solutions are easy. They all take dedication, but if you weren't dedicated you probably wouldn't be thinking of becoming a stay at home mom or dad. Saving money means cutting expenses you may have taken for granted. Finding a work at home job often takes months of hunting and avoiding the numerous scams out there. Home business takes quite a bit of work to make profitable. Then, of course, you have to deal with keeping your children busy. Even a stay at home parent cannot stay there 24/7. You have to find ways to get out, interact with others and have fun as a family without spending too much money. How do you find legitimate work at home opportunities? First you have to know how to avoid the scams that easily outnumber the real opportunities. You also need to understand what each opportunity really requires of you, both in terms of time and skills.

Millions of business-people all over the world share a single commonality, Children-but since we rarely have the opportunity to spend as much time with our children as we'd like, here's a wonderful resource for the busy business-parent. Traveling?, pull up a story on your computer and read it aloud over the phone. It will still be your special time together. Bedtime-Story has selected talented authors and paired them with gifted illustrators, each of whose works have been judged Whimsical, Magical, Adventurous, Humorous, or simply wonderfully Imaginative. The result is the stuff pleasant dreams are made of. The criteria for a tale's inclusion on the Bedtime-Story site, is that the story must be as pleasant for an adult to
read, as it is for a child to hear.

Can I donate to Kids Wish Network through the United Way?

What is Kids Wish Network's criteria for granting a wish?

We accept wish kids between the ages of 3 and 18 who reside in the United States, have a life-threatening illness, and who have not had a previous wish with another organization. A certified medical doctor must sign a form signifying that his or her patient's condition is life-threatening - no other medical prognosis is required. To ensure the safety of each wish child, the physician also must make us aware of any health requirements that would have a direct bearing on the child's wish. For instance, some children require a nurse with them during their wish or are not medically permitted to travel by plane. We always endeavor to find an appropriate, safe, way to fulfill a child's wish.
