WWW links General Stores provides The University of Iowa with office products, custodial supplies, paper, copy machine supplies, and specialty products such as dry ice and softener salt. It also operates a gas cylinder pick-up and delivery service. Although some items are kept in stock at General Stores, many more are available through an office supply vendor on contract with the University. Presently, that vendor is OfficeMax. Print catalogs are available on request. MIGS is the online ordering system for the 25,000 office supply items that are available from OfficeMax. The MIGS cutoff time for next-day delivery is 4:00 pm; for Pcard orders the cutoff time is 5:00 pm. SIGS is the online ordering system for the more than 1,500 items that are stocked on site. Available items include paper and paper products, gas cylinders, dry ice, light bulbs, and photocopying and custodial supplies. A printed list is available on request.
