Countering Crisis: How to Help Couples in Marital Distress

by Bette Nordberg
A lay church-leadership team trying to counsel a separated couple suddenly finds they've made the situation worse.
Collegians Doing What's Natural by Blake Roeber Environmental extremists put nature (good) and man (bad) into separate categories while preaching Darwinism. Is that rational? Teens Track and Field: The Ultimate Competition by Chris Caruana Though I was not athletic, I tried track and field in school because my parents challenged me. To my surprise, I started enjoying the competition.

The Tourtelot/Victor Home Page
Link to the Tourtelot/Victor Family Tree
We are making a major change in the way we handle the
Tourtelot/Victor Family Tree. In the past I had been tracking
much of the family on parallel trees. The Tourtelot clan was
on this web site. However everyone else was noticeably
missing from this site but was shown on my tree in Family Tree
Maker Online.
Tourtelot Family Reunion, 2002
(left-click for an enlargement)
From this point forward, I will attempt to keep the tree on
www,familytreemaker.com up to date. The tree on this site will
no longer exist. However, I will keep the Family Photos Page, the
LINKS page, and will add any others that may be useful.
At last count there were over 1,100 names
on the www,familytreemaker.com site.
It is a bit strange to navigate until you get used to it. Follow the instructions under the tree. Please give it a try and let me know how this works out.

I would very much like to thank Allyn Arnold and Jeannette Brenner for sending me a couple photos (See the PHOTO ALBUM page) and their entire family to add to our tree.

Now that the kids are getting older, I figured a little security can help keep our family images, stories and sensitive information more private. If you do not know the answer to at least one of the questions below, please contact me and I will make sure you are able to view the site. Please answer only 1 of the following questions: Enter one city where Greg's school was located
(Grade school, high school or college)? What is Andi's maiden name? What is Greg's fathers first name? What company does Greg work for?

If you have additional information please contact Robert Orta using the email address below. Please let other family members know about this web site. After spending some time searching http://familysearch.org I managed to find a baseline for our family tree. Unfortunately, the tree ends abruptly on my mothers side (Annie Holcomb), for she was adopted. Supposedly, the records pertaining to her were lost because the courthouse where her birth was recorded (Brown, TX) burned and no records were recovered. EARLY ORTA FAMILY The early Orta family originated in Mexico and migrated to the Phoenix/Tucson Arizona area sometime during the early 1800's. Many of these early descendents later moved to California in the 1900's. You can see a good early generation tree listing by clicking here . This is a good place to look and see if you are related to this Orta clan. If you don't find any familiar names, then you can view the family tree as it relates to Robert Orta on the

Welcome This page is the start of the Haley Family Web Page. More will come shortly as Karen and I find more time to add to the site.
News and Updates:
Wednesday, June 2nd, 2004 - Well for those of you who did not know, I was unemployed for five months, but I have landed a new job I started last week at Norstan . On the bright side, that did leave me nine weeks to spend with my new son Sean and help Karen on her maternity leave. Karen and I have repainted the living room to have only one wall color instead of the five we had when we moved in. I have also moved TheHaleyHouse.com to a new server that should provide some better performance along with the DSL speed upgrade Frontier and VISI.com have provided me for free. I am still getting everything working with my new server as it's running SUSE instead of RedHat as on my old one. I am also running a second domain again for another friend, Kyle , for his wedding, but anything you see there is all his creation. Friday, March 12th, 2004 - Karen and I have been busy preparing for our first child to arrive and have been distracted from many of the things we want to do. Since we have move in to our house, we have painted two bedrooms and one bathroom. We have our sights on the living room next as there are five shades of tan in there. The nursery is one of the bedrooms that we painted, and is ready for our first child. Thursday, Decemer 4th, 2003 -
