Bulimia Nervosa
The most common element surrounding ALL Eating Disorders is the inherent presence of a low self esteem Bulimia Nervosa
Men and women who live with Bulimia seek out binge and purge episodes they will eat a large quantity of food in a relatively short period of time and then use behaviors such as taking laxatives or self-induced vomiting because they feel overwhelmed in coping with their emotions, or in order to punish themselves for something they feel they should unrealistically blame themselves for. This can be in direct relation to how they feel about themselves, or how they feel over a particular event or series of events in their lives. Those suffering with Bulimia may seek episodes of binging and purging to avoid and let out feelings of anger, depression, stress or anxiety. "... the shackled anger I am accustomed to... reflecting on myself... and with every tear there are a thousand more that need to follow so I may climb from the darkness... " Men and women suffering Bulimia are usually aware they have an eating disorder. Fascinated by food they sometimes buy magazines and cook-books to read recipes, and enjoy discussing dieting issues.

Take control of my life dairy
I WILL WIN Intro
It doesn't matter what my name is. I am one of million people (mostly women) out there who is suffering through every single day of their lives over their weight and eating problems. The reason I am creating this website is to record my own progress and try find out a way to help others with the same problem. Hopefully, at the same time I will inspire others too. I know that I can do it. I can recover and take control of my life! I'll prove to the world! And you can do it too! Let's do it together! I was driven by my obsession with perfection. I simply cannot stand imperfection, and not be as good as others. Most importantly, I want to be loved. All my life, I never felt being loved. I thought being perfect and beautiful will win me the love I am looking for, at least self-love. I still believe that is true. However, this time I will do it the right way. Every day, I have to better than I was the day before! I will make it, because I am above all. I will prove it to myself and the whole world. If I can't control myself, how can I manage others as a CEO one day?

These binges cause a sense of self-disgust, which leads to compensatory behaviors like self-induced vomiting or excessive exercise. A person with bulimia may also abuse laxatives, diuretics, or enemas in order to prevent weight gain. Such behaviors can be quite dangerous and may lead to serious medical complications over time. For example, the stomach acid which is introduced into the esophagus (the tube from the mouth to the stomach) during frequent vomiting can permanently damage this area.

Bulimia
What is bulimia?
Bulimia, also called bulimia nervosa, is a disorder in the eating disorder spectrum. Bulimia is characterized by episodes of secretive excessive eating (bingeing) followed by inappropriate methods of weight control, such as self-induced vomiting (purging), abuse of laxatives and diuretics, or excessive exercise. Like anorexia , bulimia is a psychological disorder. It is another condition that goes beyond out-of-control dieting. The cycle of overeating and purging can quickly become an obsession similar to an addiction to drugs or other substances. The disorder generally occurs after a variety of unsuccessful attempts at dieting. Bulimia is not as obvious as anorexia, but is actually more common. It affects at least 3% to 10% of adolescent and college- age women in the United States. Approximately 10% of identified bulimic patients are men. Bulimics are also susceptible to other compulsions, affective disorders, or addictions. Unlike anorexics, bulimics experience significant weight fluctuations, but their weight loss is usually not as severe or obvious as anorexics. The long-term prognosis for bulimics is slightly better than for anorexics, and the recovery rate is felt to be higher. However, many bulimics continue to retain slightly abnormal eating and dieting behaviors even after the recovery period. For further information on anorexia, please read the

Hayley used to love going to the food court with her friends, but now just the thought of it fills her with dread. Besides, she doesn't really even have time to hang with her friends anymore - she needs more time for her running and cardio. It feels like every time she looks in the mirror she looks fat, although the scale says she's losing weight. Hayley doesn't feel like herself anymore. She's having a hard time concentrating in school and she's always so tired. Hayley has an eating disorder. Eating disorders are common in America - between 5 and 10 million people have them, and experts estimate that 1% of American teens have an eating disorder. That means if your class has 400 students, probably about four of them have this condition. Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa
The two most common types of eating disorders are anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa , more commonly known as anorexia and bulimia. The two disorders can be difficult to distinguish from each other because they have similar characteristics: With both anorexia and bulimia, the person will have a distorted image of his or her body. That person will seem to be obsessed with what he or she eats. Both anorexia and bulimia tend to affect girls more than guys, but 10% of the people with eating disorders are guys. And, because we typically think of eating disorders as only affecting girls, they often go unrecognized in guys. Guys with eating disorders also tend to focus more on athletic appearance or success than on just looking thin.
