123. Budgeting
While this type of budgeting is very simple, it is not practical for most of us . However, since these amounts are not guaranteed, for budgeting purposes
http://www.socialstudieshelp.com/Eco_Budgeting.htm
Budgeting A basic budget plan is knowing how much income you will have, how much money you will spend, and how much money, if any, will be left over. Using the information available to you from your check register you only know how much money is available at that moment. It doesn't inform you of how much you will need to get through till the next payday or if there will be enough money, after paying all your bills, to allow you to make that purchase you're contemplating. If you were paid a fixed amount once a month there is a very easy way to budget your money. You could take a stack of envelopes and label them with the names of all the bills and expenses you will need to pay during the upcoming month. They could be "Rent", "Utilities", "Car Payment", "Food", etc. Then you would place the amount needed to pay each expense into it's envelope. When all the envelopes had the required amounts, the money left over, if any, is the "expendable" money that you are free to spend on non-budgeted items. As you paid each item you would obtain the required money from the proper envelope. At the end of the month any money left in an envelope could be redistributed along with the new months income and you would be ready to start over. Using this system you would always know how much money you had available by simply inspecting the envelopes. Any deviations from the "budgeted" amounts is quickly observed and corrections could be made.

Gyms are the new bars, I swear. The other day while working out, I ran into two people I hadn't seen in ages, and I just found out that two more friends plan to join the same place. Besides the fact that you don't need to own gold metallic heels to look cool, joining a gym can help bulk up your bottom line a few different ways.
Call me crazy, but I do see financial benefits to joining a gym, despite the monthly bill. Consider:

Budgeting and Scheduling Your Game "Failing to plan is a plan to fail"
    - Effie Jones, educator
That quote says it all. If you are one of the brave souls approaching a publisher with a game proposal, hopefully you have a budget and a schedule as part of that complete proposal. Usually, a publisher asks you to create a detailed budget and schedule, if they don't you still need to create a budget and schedule for your own uses during development. Be advised that a the schedule and the budget is not only for you to use as you develop the game; a well-done schedule will help the publisher, investor, or banker see the scope of your project and, more importantly, it will be the biggest illustration as to whether you can actually produce the proposed title. A well-developed schedule is yet another factor a publisher will look at when determining whether you can do the game you propose and if you understand what you are trying to get into. An all too common misconception of scheduling is that writing a schedule is simply filling in the blanks on the fly. Trying to write a schedule with out proper planning and research is a waste of time at best and potentially a great danger to your business. Schedules (like budgets, design documents, and all important documents) come from research and prior planning. If you write a business plan or proposal and gloss over (or make up) the answers, then you doom yourself and your proposal. When a publisher looks at your schedules and budgets, they will spot inconsistencies and errors right away.

    Budgeting Can Put You in
    Control of Your Finances
By Frances B. Smith Volume I, Number 1, October, 1996 With the start of a new year, it's a time for resolutions, and one that can pay off for you every day of the year and beyond is starting and sticking to a budget. Most consumers would like to get control of their finances, but may think that budgeting is too cumbersomethat they don't have time for it. Budgeting does take some time in the beginning. However, once you have a good handle on how you spend your money, budgeting becomes almost second nature. It can give you a strong sense of where you are going financially . . . and can help you reach those important financial goalsa down-payment for that first house, a possibility of getting out of debt, a retirement that is financially secure. Here are some hints in setting up and sticking to a budget:
    • (1) Pull together your checks and other bills going back about 6 months. Put them into categories, such as the ones shown on the Consumers Take Charge Budget Worksheet. Some of the categories may not be appropriate for you, and some of your expenses may not be listed; revise the worksheet in those cases.
    • (2) The Regular Expenses are ones that you are committed to each monthmostly for a fixed amount, such as your mortgage and loan payments. Others, such as electricity, may fluctuate dramatically when you turn on your air-conditioners. But you should be able to review quickly your past bills over the last 12 months to arrive at a monthly average. The worksheet includes a category for savings and investments. If you are regularly putting aside money each month, put down that amount. If you currently don't save on a regular basis, leave that blank for now, but we'll get back to savings. . Expenses for insurance and taxes may be paid on a quarterly or annual basis, rather than monthly. For these, divide the quarterly payment by 4, or the annual payment by 12 to arrive at the amount you will need to set aside each month to make that payment without messing up your budget.
