Ok, you're not going to. But stop watching Big 12 football. On the business side of a couple of glaring upsets thus far, it's bad (save for one team north of our border). It goes without saying that Texas will serve as the exception should you choose to accept the boycott of frustrating and unfulfilling football enjoyment, i.e. ABC's weekly telecast of the region's marquee matchup. The game almost always features at least one overrated Big 12 powerhouse versus either another, or, as is the case lately, a much better pregame underdog. Full-fledged conference play begins in 10 days, when almost every game played by a Big 12 team will be inter-conference. Over the course of the next eight weeks, the less-bad will distinguish themselves from the more bad. The culmination of this mad dash will be bowl eligibility for the conference's "elite." | |
