Geography
Occupying the northern half of the North American continent, Canada's land mass is 9 093 507 square kilometers, making it the second-largest country in the world after Russia. From east to west, Canada encompasses six time zones. In addition to its coastlines on the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, Canada has a third sea coast on the Arctic Ocean, giving it the longest coastline of any country. To the south, Canada shares an 8 891 kilometre boundary with the United States. To the north, the Arctic islands come within 800 kilometres of the North Pole. Canada's neighbour across the Arctic Ocean is Russia. Because of the harsh northern climate, only 12 percent of the land is suitable for agriculture. Thus, most of the population of 30 million live within a few hundred kilometres of the southern border, where the climate is milder, in a long thin band stretching between the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans ... more
Mountain Ranges
Canada's terrain incorporates a number of mountain ranges: the Torngats, Appalachians and Laurentians in the east; the Rocky, Coastal and Mackenzie ranges in the west; and Mount St. Elias and the Pelly Mountains in the north. At 5 959 metres, Mount Logan in the Yukon is Canada's tallest peak.

It is rare to find a country that offers such diverse beauty and harmony
In a country that covers only 51,000 square meters it is no less than a phenomena that it hosts so many drastically various landscapes.
From rugged Alpine peaks, dry and arid Mediterranean Herzegovina, the rolling green hills of central and northern Bosnia, to the vast flatlands of Semberija in the northeast along the river Sava this tiny place offers a more fascinating array of climates, cultures, vegetation, watersheds, and wildlife than any country in southeast Europe.
Much of Bosnia and Herzegovina is covered by mountainous terrain.
Herzegovina hosts the highest and wildest of this mountain range which for centuries provided protection for the Illyrians from Roman invaders, slowed the Ottoman conquer of Bosnia and created a rugged self-reliant culture that still dominates present day Bosnia and Herzegovina ... more

About Srpska Republic of Srpska is proclaimed on 9th of January 1992, and as a State Entity verified by Dayton Peace Agreement and signing of peace accord in Paris, on 14th of December 1995, with which was ended the 3,5-years war. The frontiers of the Republic of Srpska have been defined by the internationally recognized border with Yugoslavia and the Republic of Croatia and the inter-entity boundary with the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Both these lines were established with no regard to basic principles of delineation between peoples (ethnic, historical, natural-geographic, functional-economic, military-strategic). The size, shape and borders of the Republic of Srpska The total length of the borders of the Republic of Srpska is app. 2170 km, out of which the inter-entity boundary with the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina accounting for 1080 kilometers. If the territory of the Republic of Srpska were in the shape of a circle, the total length of its borders would be only 561 kilometers. This means that the coefficient of the border indentation is 3.6, which is rare in the world.
