The athletes who raced bobsled were having a difficult time getting into their two-man sleds. That's when Billington - who now races skeleton for the Virgin Island Olympic team and who has raced bobsled before - came up with the idea of a modified, one -man bobsled to fit everybody. "It's the first one-man bobsled in the history of man," says Billington. All of the parts are interchangeable with the traditional, Olympic-sanctioned two-man bobsled, he says. And because both sleds perform "exactly the same," his sled will allow individual drivers and brakemen alike the opportunity to determine who drives best. "Everybody wants to drive," he says.
