Scope and Call for Papers
Pacific Conservation Biology is a journal dedicated to conservation and wildlife management in the Pacific region. Papers on any aspect of conservation research or management are welcome.
Papers describing research results should conclude with a section outlining the implications for management or management-related research. Similarly, papers about management issues should address the requirements for research.
There are three categories of manuscript:
  • short (less than 1000 words): news and correspondence items;
  • contributed papers (typically 2000 to 10000 words); and
  • forum essays (1000 to 4000 words) and reviews (less than 10000 words). Please refer to the Notes for Contributors for specific instructions on manuscript preparation.

    July 15, 2005 Biology at SWU Biology at Southern Wesleyan has a Christian orientationwe believe that God created the world, and that He has given us the desire and the ability to discover and understand it, and that we are responsible to take care of it, and the plants and animals on it. We believe that we have God-given responsibilities to treat other persons according to the Golden Rule. A Christian worldview informs all of our courses. All students are also required to take classes in Bible. Biology laboratories at SWU are under the direction of the professors, who are physically present, and prepare and teach the labs. However, qualified students may be hired to assist them. Qualified biology majors may take a practicum at a nearby industry or health care facility as part of their curriculum. Most biology majors take at least five courses in chemistry , and two in physics, so are well-prepared for work in industry, graduate school, or biology related professions.
    The new major in forensic science shares several courses with the biology major.
