    5. Ecology And Evolutionary Biology: Index
The Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB) Department carries out research in awide range of areas across evolution and ecology.
    http://www.eeb.princeton.edu/
In 1990 Princeton University divided Biology into the Departments of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Molecular Biology. Since then we have grown and now consist of 18 faculty, approximately 40 graduate students, 45 postdoctoral fellows, and about 100 undergraduate concentrators. Our offices and laboratories are located in Guyot and Eno Halls, but our research often takes us to field sites in Africa, Asia and parts of North, Central and South America.
Although faculty and students in the Department study a wide range of biological problems, evolution is the theme that unites us, and mixing of theory and empiricism is a style that guides us. And despite our breadth, we are deep in the areas of ecology, evolution and behavior. Many of the research projects are interdisciplinary and have resulted in strong links to the Department of Molecular Biology Program in Science Technology and Environmental Policy (STEP) . The excitement and quality of the research that is done in the Department creates an exceptional learning environment for undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral students. We invite you to learn more about our research activities by exploring links to the faculty Ecology Conservation , and Eno Hall_Courtesy of David Goehring

of evolution provides a coherent explanation for all biological phenomena . they all use techniques of molecular biology to answer those questions.
    http://www.eeb.princeton.edu/core areas/evol_genetic.html
E The theory of evolution provides a coherent explanation for all biological phenomena. All of the Faculty in the EEB Department pursue research interests to a greater or lesser extent connected to evolution. A core group of Faculty address evolutionary questions directly, at very different scales of biological organization, and they all use techniques of molecular biology to answer those questions.
    John Bonner
Evolution of development, with a special interest in the social amoebae (cellular slime molds).
    Rosemary Grant
Peter Grant Population and community-level phenomena, asking such questions as how species form and what roles natural selection and hybridization play in speciation.
    Leonid Kruglyak
Applies computational skills to questions of genome organization and evolutionary diversification in phylogeny.
    Laura Landweber
Genomic evolution, seeking to understand the evolutionary origins of complex features, especially in microbial eukaryotes (protists). Simon A. Levin Evolution of disease, evolution of life history strategies, evolution of stoichiometry.
    Daniel Rubenstein
    Evolution of behavior.
