Give Sorrow Words
By Thomas S. Crider. This book follows a father's healing process following the sudden death of his only child. His daughter, a senior in college, was killed in a fire that engulfed her room. This book is of particular value because it realistically shows that grief processes can be long and painful. The shock of an unexpected, senseless death is particularly hard to take.
How To Survive The Loss Of A Parent
By Lois F. Akner and Catherine Whitney. This book is intended for adult readers who are seeking support following the death of a parent. Akner uses stories from participants in her popular workshops to illustrate the range of reactions people may have when a parent dies.

Research Paper - “The Exclusive, Universal, and Multiple Experiences of ADC” By James A. Houck, Ph.D “Please don’t think I’m crazy, but…” is how most conversations typically begin around the subject of After Death Communication (ADC). Most of the research in this area has been done from a qualitative (e.g., structured interviews) approach, which is an excellent way for people to begin telling their stories and comparing similar experiences with other bereft people. Yet, are there others ways to statistically measure the frequency and uniqueness of such experiences? In other words, are ADC’s random or purposeful to specific types of populations or bereavement groups?

"Empowerment to reVision your life and reSolve limiting beliefs and patterns."
Are you looking for a more meaningful life? "Swimming with your boots on?"
Desire for a more meaningful life and authentic existence sometimes feels like a vague sense of longing that can't be satisfied by just the attainment of more "things" or external ego goals.
Lets look at what you value, how you spend your time, how you take care of yourself and how you interact with others. A genuine confrontation with the truth demands authenticity and personal integrity. authentiticity is about consistency between inner experience and outer expression, congruence between beliefs and behavior.
Optimum health is based on recognizing freedom and assuming responsibility for thoughts, beliefs, values. Learning to pay attention to ones inner experience is essential to well-being.

Welcome . . . Dear Friends,
Welcome to our internet site. I am the co-ordinator of "Women and Grief". With the help of volunteers who themselves have been through a Bereavement of some kind we fill a much needed gap in the bereavement cycle.
After the death of a loved one we can feel alone and isolated. We know the sense of utter Isolation , the feeling that no-one understands just what you are going through at the time of a bereavement and the months that follow.Grief is part of the process necessary to help us come to terms with that loss. Friends and family are a great support at this time and they care about us, but, unless they have been through the same experience it is difficult for them to really understand the depth of our pain and grief.
If you would like to talk with someone who has had a similar experience to yourself contact us. Our service is free . We are women supporting women through what can be a very lonely and difficult time.
We are here to help

Unclaimed, Money Counsel and practical guidance when family or friends mourn and grieve the death of a loved one When The Funeral Is Over.... Relatives, friends and neighbors are supportive at the time of a death, during the wake and funeral. Food, flowers, their presence are among the many thoughtful expressions. After the funeral, many grieving people wonder what happened to their friends. They need their support and caring even more when the reality begins to hit and the long process of grief begins. Their help is essential, since immediate family members have their hands full of grief and may find it difficult to give support to one another, or may not live nearby. Essence How To Help Grieving Family Friends Your help and understanding can make a significant difference in the healing of your friend's grief. Unresolved grief can lead to physical or mental illness, suicide or premature death. A grieving person needs friends who are willing to: LISTEN; cry with them; sit with them; reminisce; care; have creative ideas for coping; be honest; help them feel loved and needed; believe that they will make it through their grief. Ways of helping grieving people are limitless as your imagination.
