University Homepage Dave Keller Facilities Supervisor Dave Keller is in his ninth year as a part of the Eastern Michigan University facilities department and his third as the facilities supervisor. Keller (1-20-61) is a native of Indianapolis, Ind., but grew up in Birmingham, Mich., and graduated from Birmingham Seaholm High School in 1979. He was an honorable mention All-League and All-Area player in both baseball and basketball. Following graduation, Keller attended Eastern Michigan University and completed his undergraduate degree in 1985. While at EMU, Keller earned four letters as a catcher on the varsity baseball team and played on two Mid-American Conference championship teams as well as two NCAA Regional qualifying teams. After graduating from EMU, Keller went on to spend the next 14 years as a baseball coach. He was the freshman baseball coach at Bloomfield Hills Andover in 1983 and from 1984-88 he was the junior varsity baseball coach at Ann Arbor Huron. From 1988-90 he was the head varsity coach at Dearborn St. Alphonsus. In 1990, Keller took over the head coaching duties at Ypsilanti High School and served in that capacity through the 1996 season. Bios on Past Internal Speakers Cedric W. Dempsey NCAA President Cedric Dempsey became the NCAA's third executive director January 1, 1994 (his title was changed to president April 22, 1998). As president, Dr. Dempsey oversees a staff of 350 and provides leadership in the governance structure for the more than 1,200 colleges, universities, conferences and affiliated organizations that comprise the Association. Prior to joining the NCAA in 1994, Dr. Dempsey was director of athletics at several universities, including the University of Arizona, the University of Houston, San Diego State University and University of the Pacific(California). Prior to serving in these positions, Dr. Dempsey was assistant director of health, physical education, recreation and athletics; assistant basketball coach and professor at Arizona. Gallagher has compiled a 192-190-2 record since Wisconsin first took the field in 1996. UW is coming off its second-straight NCAA tournament appearance and third-straight Big Ten tournament. UW finished the 2002 season with a 31-20 record and 11-6 Big Ten mark. The Badgers’ fourth place finish in league play was a program high. The 2001 Badgers, seeded fifth in the Los Angeles region of the national tournament, gained an opening-round win over No. 2 seed Fresno State, but fell from contention after losing a pair of contests to San Diego State.
