"Bank At School is a powerful educational program that introduces students to the world of money and banking..." Through a special Bank At School lesson plan, developed by the Treasurer's Office, students learn the value of saving for the future and money management. Bank At School also gives students a fun and exciting way to learn by doing. Each participating school is matched with a local bank or savings and loan or credit union. On "Bank Day," held at least once each month, students can open new accounts, make deposits and experience the thrill of watching their savings grow! The Bank At School program has been developed primarily for students in the fifth and sixth grades, but can easily be adapted for other students.
