Associate Artistic Director The Minnesota Ballet is one of the finest regional dance companies in the Midwest. This professional company of fourteen dynamic artists, home-based in Duluth, Minnesota, tours nationally, entertaining audiences with a repertoire as diverse as it is artistic.
Under the leadership of Artistic Executive Director Allen Fields , the Ballet offers original works ranging from classical ballet and modern to highly theatrical ballroom and jazz. Fields’ personal career has allowed him to dance in a range of styles from Bob Fosse’s to George Balanchine’s.
Robert Gardner , the Associate Artistic Director, brings to the Ballet his years of experience in the dance arts and choreographs original and diverse works for the company. Fields and Gardner bring to the company their experienced voices, then add to the mix exciting, emerging choreographers to enrich the artistic diversity of the Minnesota Ballet.
Celebrating 40th anniversary in 2005–06 season
Operational support for the Minnesota Ballet is made possible in part by a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, through an appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
