Richard,
Unless I misunderstand what you're saying, this doesn't happen for me. You're saying that if multiple expressions are in the filter history drop-down box, and you select one by clicking on it with the mouse (either by unclicking the drop-down widget button and then clicking on a list item, or by holding down the mouse button, highlighting a list item and deselecting), the expression you selected never shows up in the filter textbox?
You're implying then that this works if you use some other selection method, like the keyboard? And that it doesn't happen if you only have one entry?
At the moment I'm using Redhat 9, GTK+/Glib 1.2.10, and a CVS build from earlier today.
What *does* happen to me and bug me is that history only seems to store manually entered filters. Most, if not all auto-generated display filters don't appear to be added to the filter history list.

RHEL3 Mounting USB after reboot and between reboots: root and non-root users post #1 Hi,
Question: How to keep /etc/fstab between reboots for non-root users to mount USB?
My RHEL3 on reboot calls /etc/init.d/kudzu start, by which it then calls /usr/sbin/updfstab. The result in /etc/fstab is (I'll just copy the detected kudzu marked devices: /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom udf,iso9660 noauto, owner, kudzu,ro /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto, owner, kudzu /dev/sda1 /mnt/flash auto noauto, owner, kudzu Because: "users" is not added to /dev/sda1 on boot, only the device owner (root) mounts USB. I want non-root users to mount USB pens and not have this result: $ mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/flash mount: only root can do that $ mount /dev/sda /mnt/flash mount: only root can do that Note: root user can mount /mnt/flash with sda (partition 0), not with sda1 $ mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/flash mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1

Date: Fri Apr 16 2004 - 04:38:27 CDT Hi Mark, hi John,
yes, as a rule you should avoid using param_addvolume, because
this command will change the configuration file ONLY! NO action
takes place in the db kernel! The correct way to add a volume
is the db_addvolume command. This will change the configuration file
and additional the db kernel will be informed about the new volume.
You can see the db_addvolume(obsolete db_adddevice) in the dbm.prt
file and the corresponding kernel command "ADD DATA VOLUME ..." in
the dbm.utl file! Note that each volume has a magic header page called IOMan_InfoPage. This page contains among other informations the logical predecessor and successor of a volume. If you change the configuration by hand without informing the kernel about the new volume, the next restart will fail!

in your case you should use the following command:
Pay attention that the given data volume name has to be absolute identically with
the volume name given at the param_addvolume command.

This makes sense, except the one step below where the ADD VOLUME is sent. I have looked for the utility commands and can't find the correct syntax. Here's what I tried: dbmcli...
