CBIP Passenger Ropeway Examinations The Chairman of the CBIP Governance Board has adsvised that due to change shortly to take place that will effectively alter the scope of the OSH Code of Practice for Passenger Ropeways it will be necessary to defer the October series of examinations for Passenger Ropeway Equipment Inspectors in that category. These changes involve the gazetting of the Canadian Passenger Ropeway standard as the new basis for the technical knowledge requirements for Passenger Ropeway Equipment Inspectors.
The CBIP Board will consider the full impact of those changes at its November meeting and is fully aware of the need to permit candidates ample time and opportunity to update themselves on the revised requirements. Consequently at this time it is planned to conduct the outstanding oral examinations during December 2005 and the re-certification examinations during March 2006.
