The Athletics Tradition CSU Stanislaus fields 14 men's and women's athletics teams in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, having become a member in the Fall of 1998. The University is affiliated nationally with the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), Division II. The Warriors have a winning tradition. During its 14 years of competition at the NCAA Division II level, CSU Stanislaus won 12 national goal championships, two national baseball championships and had both its men's and women's basketball teams reach the Final Four in the national tournaments. The Warriors have been very competitive at the national level since moving up to NCAA Division II 1989-90. The 1993 and 1994 women's track seasons conclude with a Stanislaus athlete, Carrie Luis, claiming a double national championship in the 800 and 1500-meter races. Since 1968 nearly 200 Warrior athletes have earned All-American honors.

    18. Northeastern Athletics General Information
fielding 19 varsity teams in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I sports as well as other teams and Athletics Home Team Tracker.
    http://gonu.com/general.html
Northeastern University is an integral part of the New England sports community, fielding 19 varsity teams in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I sports as well as other teams and individuals in national and international arenas. The university's teams, nicknamed the Huskies, are also some of the region's most successful. Northeastern begins a new chapter in its history in 2005 when the Huskies begin competition in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). The Colonial Athletic Association has produced 16 national team champions in five different sports, 33 individual national champions, 11 national coaches of the year, 11 national players of the year and 12 Honda Award winners. Even more impressive, however, are the honors accumulated away from competition, which include five Rhodes Scholars and 16 NCAA post-graduate scholars. In 2004-05, the CAA had seven ESPN The Magazine CoSIDA Academic All-Americans and more than 1,500 student-athletes posted at least a 3.2 grade point average while lettering in a varsity sport and received the CAA Commissioner's Academic Award. The Huskies competed in most sports in the America East Conference from 1979-2005. The Northeastern football team competes in the toughest Div. I-AA league in the country, the Atlantic 10 Conference and the men's and women's hockey teams compete in Hockey East, the nation's premier league. The Atlantic 10 football conference is the home of the previous two national champions: James Madison in 2004 and Delaware in 2003. The Atlantic 10 football conference will become part of the CAA in 2006, further solidifying Northeastern's association with other premier athletic and academic institutions. The Hockey East Association is consistently labelled the strongest men's hockey conference in the nation from top to bottom. Over the last 13 seasons, Hockey East has earned 20 of the 52 of the berths in the NCAA Frozen Four championship tournament and boasting four NCAA title winners: the University of Maine in 1993 and 1999, Boston University in 1995 and Boston College in 2001. The 2002-03 season brought the inaugural year of women's Hockey East play.
