The Armenian alphabet, which consists of 38 characters, was created in 405 A.D. by a monk named Mesrop Mashtots (the original alphabet had 36 letters, two characters were added later). The first work of literature with the new alphabet was the translation of the Bible from Greek. This translation has been since regarded as a masterpiece by many linguists. During the centuries the dialect into which the Bible was translated became the standard language - Grabar (Krapar), or Classical Armenian . Numerous literary works, both original and translations, were written in that period in grabar. Many works in Classical Greek, Latin and other languages exist today only in their Armenian translations. A unique collection of priceless ancient documents is preserved in the National Depository of Manuscripts, the Matenadaran, in Yerevan. First printed documents appeared in Armenia in early 16th century. A century later, in 1662, an Armenian cleric

Learn to speak Conversational Armenian Language
    Why Language Learning is Difficult

Studies show that in most languages, native-speakers tend to use less than 3,000 unique words on a daily basis. Then why is learning a seond language such an overwhelming task?
First, the written target language may use new characters if not an entirely new character set. Characters are put together to form new, unique and often unfamiliar sounds, even new pitches and inflections. For each word currently utilized in your native language, you must memorize the equivalent word in your target language.
Then you must learn rules for putting words together to form complete sentences of meaning, sentence structure. Then grammar with it's inherent rules and exceptions. Lastly, there's comprehension, listening and understanding at normal conversation speed.
It's no wonder so many people fail to learn a second language. Broken down to it's components, the challenge is overwhelming if not insurmountable. The Problem with False Claims
Many language websites, books, and software providers claim they can teach you to be fluent in a matter of days? Even offering

Introduction The Armenians are an ancient people whose history dates back about 2,500 years. The Armenian alphabet was invented by Mesrop Mashtots, a missionary, about the year 400 A.D. Originally it consisted of thirty-six letters, six vowels and thirty consonants, to which two letters were added in the 12th century. Armenian constitutes a separate and independent branch of the Indo-European family. The Armenians call their country Hayastan and their language Hayaren . During many centuries of Persian domination so many Iranian words entered the language that even in the 19th century many linguists thought it a dialect of Persian. It was not until 1875 that it was established as an independent language. Much of the Armenian vocabulary is not to be found in any other Indo-European language. Undoubtedly many words were derived from languages that are now extinct.
Armenian is spoken/used in the following countries: Armenia Austria Azerbaijan Georgia ... United States of America

    THE ARMENIAN LANGUAGE
The Armenian language is an independent member of the Indo-European language that belongs to the western branch of the European-Aryan family and traces its roots back to the time of Armeno-Phrygians, Hayes, and Urartians. There is also kinships with the ancient Hittites, Mitanni, Hurrian, and some Old Persian. Modern linguists claim that the Armenian language has retained its nationality from ancient times to the present, and that it possesses great vitality despite many persecutions Since the Armenians did not have their own alphabet, a native of the Province of Taron, Mesrop Mashtots , undertook the task to remedy the situation at the beginning of the fifth century A.D. With the religious Patriarch Sahag , the scholar Mesrob Mahtots developed a new alphabet containing 36 letters, which was used to write the Armenian language. In the language as then written were composed translations of the Bible and other pious works as well as original compositions by Bishop Eznik . This language is still preserved as the ritual language of the Armenian Church, and up to the 19

The ministers were speaking in an exclusive interview to Itar-Tass in Tokyo where the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia are attending a five-day trade exhibition devoted to the South Caucasus.
