Learning Opportunities

The School's mission is to provide an excellent learning experience that is enabling and inspired by a solid base of scholarship, research, and professional practice. The philosophy of the School is to be responsive to the culture, history, and fundamentals of New Mexico; to know the significance of ecological and social conditions; and to elevate the aesthetic, ethical, and theoretical foundations of our professions.
Curricula of the School provide the students with the ability to analyze and synthesize. Students learn concepts and methods that will enable them, as future professionals, to address the complex behavioral, technological and socio-economic factors that are imbedded in historical and cultural contexts. This knowledge will prepare graduates to create effective and responsive environments. The School nurtures students' creative efforts, intellectual development, and judgment in individual and collective efforts to create the built environment. Students build professional skills develop a set of ethics consistent with community-based values.

The lyceum of Tashkent Architectural and Building Institute
The lyceum was founded in 1996 on the 1st of September. Since that time pupils from Tashkent city and Tashkent region have been taught here Physics, mathematics and native language subjects are main ones here.
At the lyceum the teaching process is being carried out according the project which was given by the Ministry of High Education.
At present the pupils of the lyceum are working at the laboratories of physics and chemistry of the Institute which is decorated with modern facilities. They use ling phone rooms, library and others widely.
The pupils are taught by the qualified, skillful teachers with wide pedagogical qualification of the Institute. For example: during the 2004 – 2005 academic year the number of the teachers were 34 and among them 14 persons were candidates of the science, readers, three of them were doctors of science and professors. More than 60% teachers work at the Institute and teach students.
The teachers of the lyceum are taking active part in creation text – books and books for pupils. For example during 2004 – 2005 academic year were written more than 10 text – books only on physics for lyceums and Vocational colleges and were published at the “Ukituvchi” publishing house.
