CSA, the Center for the Study of Architecture/Archaeology, is devoted to
advancing the use of computers, computer technologies, and digital information
in the service of architectural history, archaeology, and related disciplines.

Citation information.
Search the CSA site. Welcome to the CSA Web site. CSA's aim is to encourage appropriate uses of computers and information technology by those involved in research in archaeology and architectural history - and those who will need the fruits of that research. The key word is appropriate. Particularly in these early stages of the digital era it is not easy to know how best to use the new computing power that has become available to us. Nor is it obvious which computers or computer technologies will turn out to be the best and most appropriate for a given use. Perhaps most important, it is all but impossible to predict which specific approaches to using computers to create digital information will thrive and which will turn out to have been dead ends. It is CSA's mission to help guide users and potential users of information technologies so that, at the least, they can make well-considered choices of computers and software in these poorly charted waters. (If you encounter any problems with our site, please let us know at director@csanet.org.)

Architecture
The CompactRISC architecture enables RISC processors to be optimized for performance, power consumption and die size, bringing the significant advantages of RISC to the embedded systems market. Using the CompactRISC architectures, embedded RISC processors are cost effective, memory efficient, silicon efficient and higher performance. Key RISC advantages include a streamlined instruction set optimized for high-level language compilers; single-cycle instruction execution; and fast, multistage pipeline structures. To this the CompactRISC processors add compact code generation, low-cost silicon implementations and a scaleable processor family that spans the range from 8-bit, to 16-bit The CompactRISC Architecture Backgrounder The CompactRISC CR16 16-bit RISC processor cores

A professional degree program in architecture at Dalhousie University in Halifax,on the Atlantic coast of Canada.
http://architectureandplanning.dal.ca/architecture/index.shtml
The School of Architecture is located in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia, on the Atlantic coast of Canada. The school's primary aim is to educate students who plan to become professional architects. It was established in 1961 and was part of the Technical University of Nova Scotia until 1997, when TUNS amalgamated with Dalhousie University to form a comprehensive university with 15,000 undergraduate and graduate students within a wide range of disciplines.
The central activity at the School of Architecture is architectural design. Students examine historical and contemporary buildings in Canada and abroad, and respond through the design of new architectural projects. Architecture is a multi-disciplinary profession, with alliances to the fine arts, the humanities, and technologies. Many undergraduate disciplines provide an effective foundation for architectural studies. Conversely, architectural studies provide an excellent foundation for careers in various design-related fields.
For an introduction to the school, start with the

The building has been enlarged and modified over the years, and it contains some of the most important spaces in American history and architecture. The United States Capitol
Dome
The cast-iron dome of the United States Capitol, constructed between 1855 and 1866, may well be the most famous man-made landmark in America. It is such a fitting finale for the building it crowns, so familiar and dignified, that it seems surprising that its design and construction came late in the Capitol's architectural evolution. Only the west front terraces (1884-1892) and the east front extension (1958-1962) are more recent additions to the Capitol than its dome. Rotunda The Rotunda is a large, domed, circular room located in the center of the Capitol on the second floor. It has been used for ceremonial functions, such as the unveiling of statues, inaugurations, and the
