Architecture Events
While I was in the far east last week, the Architecture and Design Events page of Architecture Center got updated. Thanks go to Lawrence, Richard and Mark - Architecture Center's own three amigos if you will. Looks like the Software Factories guys are going to very busy, most of the upcoming events feature some type of presentation on factories, models or domain specific languages. What's cool about this list is that it features MS events like TechEd and PDC as well as non-MS events like OOPSLA, UML Conference and OOP. The only bad thing about this list is that I'd like it to be longer. Should there be more architecture-centric events or more architecture content at developer-centric events on this list? posted on Thursday, September 23, 2004 6:04 PM by

CNU VIII: The Politics of Place :
Building Constituencies for Positive Action

Portland, Oregon
June 15-18, 2000
Congress for the New Urbanism - Education Task Force The Education Task Force of the Congress for the New Urbanism invites paper proposals for presentation at the annual congress, CNU VIII: The Politics of Place, in Portland, Oregon June 15-18, 2000. The mission of the Education Task Force, one of nine CNU task forces, is to promote education about CNU outside the organization and to help critique the movement and educate members from within. CNU VIII is devoted to building constituencies for community building. Therefore, the goal for this year's "Call" is to encourage a dialogue between academics and New Urbanist professionals. The Education Task Force would welcome paper proposals from the full range of disciplines. The Task Force is also particularly interested in both comparative studies that will help situate New Urbanism in its larger context, and analytical research on existing examples of New Urbanism.
