Microsoft Programming Services
Microsoft Programming Services The DPS application development group develops Enterprise level windows and web based applications based on Microsoft technologies and programming languages. Enterprise level application projects are longer running than simple application projects and are normally resourced by a team of technical people such as developers, dba's, technical writers, testers, trainers, etc. Enterprise level application projects add an additional layer of complexity to application development that most individual programmers never experience. As a result it's imperative that there be a process to follow that keeps the application development on track and all team members focused on the project deliverables. Working on Enterprise level applications in a team development environment is day to day business for the DPS application development group.

Introduction
Digital audio is the most commonly used method to represent sound inside a computer. In this method sound is stored as a sequence of samples taken from the audio signal using constant time intervals. A sample represents volume of the signal at the moment when it was measured. In uncompressed digital audio each sample require one or more bytes of storage. Number of bytes required depends on number of channels (mono, stereo) and sample format (8 or 16 bits, mu-Law, etc.). The length of this interval determines the sampling rate . Normally used sampling rates are between 8 kHz (telephone quality) and 48 kHz (DAT tapes).
The physical devices used in digital audio are called ADC ( Analog to Digital Converter ) and DAC (D igital to Analog Converter ). A device containing both ADC and DAC is commonly known as

X.25 Application Programming Interface (API)
X.25 communications can be used to provide a network service for higher-level protocols, such as SNA, or directly with commands or the API. The X.25 commands can be used as soon as you have set up X.25 communications. The application programming interface (API) can be used to write applications tailored to specific needs. The following sections discuss portions of the X.25 API: Before you can use the COMIO emulation X.25 API, the X.25 Licensed Program must be installed and configured , and emulation ports added as required. You also need access to a C compiler. The X.25 API includes a library of C subroutines that use the services of the X.25 adapter and adapter code. Application programs call these subroutines to access X.25 functions. The subroutines use a number of structures to pass information between the X.25 functions and the application programs. Basically the vbs creates an excel.application object writes some data to the spreadsheet and then saves it. I created a test html page and inserted the vbscript and it works fine when I run it from my pc. But if I try to run it from a server, or even another computer it fails when it tries to create the excel.application object. It says the activeX object couldn't be created. Why? Can someone help please Here is some test vbs code I inserted into a test page, it fails when I run it from anywhere but my pc.

Date Index Thread Index Most of the time, it is advisable to separate intent from presentation. This speaks poorly of things like <label text="Address" x="30" y="1"/> as seen in GNUe Forms. For the intent portion, a much better standard is XForms (though I'm biasedI'm an editor) http://www.w3.org/TR/xforms/ http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Forms/ For presentation (even x,y stuff), CSS2 seems to work pretty well. My employer has released a successful implementation of eforms using HTML forms and CSS absolute positioning. The beauty of such an approach is that a limited browser (such as a handheld) will just ignore the positioning bits and show everything in reading order. http://www.cardiff.com/liquidoffice/register_TE.asp Thanks, .micah -Original Message- From: Trevor Croll [ mailto:trevorcroll@fastmail.fm
