    http://www.aswa.org.uk/
ASWA Web site The Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals is a UK based Christian organisation. Our main aim is to raise awareness of animal welfare issues within the Anglican Church and the wider Christian community. We are ecumenical and welcome all Christian denominations as members and supporters. Lately, the secular animal welfare movement has often been highly critical of the apparent lack of concern shown by the Church for the suffering of animals. This has not always been the case however and Christians have been involved in animal welfare reform throughout history. For example, the RSPCA – the first animal protection society, was founded by an Anglican priest – Revd Arthur Broome. Well known Christians such as C S Lewis, John Wesley and William Wilberforce all spoke out against animal cruelty. It is our aim to put animal welfare back onto the agenda of the Church. As the Psalmist says in Psalm 148, animals in their amazing variety of species were all created for the glory of God and to praise His name. They were not created for our exploitation and domination.

The Animal Welfare Foundation of Canada is a registered charity, supported by donors and administered by a volunteer Board of Directors . The Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life for animals in this country. Since the 1960s the Foundation, an independent watchdog organization, has been at the forefront of issues of humane care of animals in Canada. The Foundation works to ensure that human guardians give all animals - wild, domestic, exotic - the care, treatment and protection owed them. By fostering direct services to animals in need, innovative research, and educational programs, the Foundation provides a rational alternative for those who wish to see their donations make a positive difference to the lives of animals.

Where lost and abandoned animals can find food and shelter from the cruelties of life. Donate Sponsor Volunteer Adopt ... Contact Us Welcome to Animal Haven! We are a dedicated group of people with the goal of providing protection and refuge to homeless and abused animals. We provide shelter, veterinary care, and rehabilitation for life, or until someone like you comes and adopts one of our animals. Although our emphasis is on farm animals, we also have cats and dogs that desperately need a home.
We work closely with other animal welfare organizations including kennel clubs, breed rescue groups, and directly with the public. Our goal is to alleviate overcrowding in our local animal shelters by providing an alternative to traditional sheltering.
In addition to the care of our sheltered animals, we currently have two community support programs:
    • We supply pet food via the Meals on Wheels program to ensure that pets of low income families receive proper nutrition. We host and sponsor educational programs for children to encourage responsible pet ownership and compassion.

We invite you to browse our web site and call or email us with any questions you may have. We are desperately looking for volunteers and donations to help care for our animals. Of course, adoption is our main goal so please call us to arrange a visit.
