Ancient navigators were the link that allowed constant exchange of ideas and goods. This challenges the academic establishment and the "official" history, yet how else can you explain the fact that many of Egyptian mummies show traces of coca and tobacco? The seafarers from Africa, China, Polynesia, and the Mediterranean that met in Americas were an essential part of the ancient world.

Archaeologists have uncovered startling new evidence
leading to the controversial conclusion that Atlantis is not a myth.
Could we modern Earthlings be the descendants of Ancient Astronauts ?
Where Have We Been? This Olmec Head (right) is thought to be over 3000 years old. The man's features are clearly African, but this giant 8 foot tall stone statue was found in the jungles of Mexico - and is but one of 17 so far discovered, in varrying stages of erosion from millennia in the deep jungle. One imagines, in any century, it is to be considered a high honor for someone to take the time to carve your likeness in anything even approaching the size of a volkswagon - thus, they were leaders, or heroes; certainly revered figures. Before Rome or Greece, or even the pharaohs of Egypt, there was a civilization, a dominant culture in Mexico from the Pacific to the Yucatan - and the people who posed for the Olmec Heads are known to have written in symbols almost identical to that of the Nubian, Kush, Vai and Mande tribes of West Africa. While his helment looks like something right out of the Bronze Age, on closer inspection, doesn't appear to have been made of metal at all - it could very well have been leather, or any form of cloth attributed to the time. Could it be simply a hat, or even a religious costume? The thing is, each Olmec Head is of a different person - with slightly different features, and slightly different hats.

ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS
And Who IS
Graham Hancock Anyway ?
Following is a very brief snapshot of what you'll find in Graham Hancock's book "Fingerprints of the Gods". It's excellent and I recommend it as a MUST read.

Graham Hancock

If we are willing to accept the current academic consensus regarding the origins of human civilization, then we believe: THAT humanity's first primitive civilization instantly emerged, fully developed, around 3,000 B.C. in Sumer and Egypt. We are therefore also willing to accept that the Egyptians possessed an innate understanding of modern-day mathematics, astronomy, and engineering to construct the great temples and pyramids of Egypt. THAT about 1,500 years later, civilization spontaneously and independently flourished in South America and Mexico. We then believe, too, that like their Egyptian counterparts, these civilizations could construct temples, pyramids, and fortresses with a level of sophistication and precision that would be almost impossible to match 52%could construct temples, pyramids, and fortresses with a level of sophistication and precision that would be almost impossible to match even today.
Graham Hancock , has embarked on a worldwide quest to piece together the vast and fascinating jigsaw puzzle of humanity's mysterious past to uncover the true and even more ancient origins of human civilization. He examines a trail of technological and mythological wonders that runs through the Americas and Egypt - a trail suggesting that a group of highly intelligent people traveled to these lands to leave behind the remarkable legacy of edifices that still stand there today.

1. ANCIENT MU OR LEMURIA
According to various esoteric sources, the first civilization arose 78,000 years ago on the giant continent known as Mu or Lemuria and lasted for an astonishing 52,000 years. It is sometimes said to have been destroyed in earthquakes generated by a pole shift which occurred some 26,000 years ago, or at approximately 24,000 B.C. While Mu did not reach as high a technology, supposedly, as other later civilizations, it is, nevertheless, said to have attained some advanced technology, particularly in the building of long-lasting megalithic buildings that were able to withstand earthquakes. However, it was the science of government that is sometimes said to have been Mu's greatest achievement. Supposedly, there was one language and one government. Education was the keynote of the Empire's success, and because every citizen was versed in the laws of the universe and was given thorough training in a profession or trade, magnificent prosperity resulted. A child's education was compulsory to the age of 21 in order for him to be eligible to attend citizenship school. This training period lasted for seven years; so the earliest age at which a person could become a citizen of the empire was 28.
