" No dowdy Harlequin, this slender volume overfloweth with oceans of patriotic brothel activity and lipstick lesbian beaver hoovering. Mrs. Lynne Cheney Lynne V. Cheney, wife of Vice President Richard B. Cheney, has always loved the idea of a world blessedly devoid of change. As such, she has spent much of her professional life crusading for the preservation of an America in which white Christian men are boss, and women enjoy the privilege of never daring to question the status quo. As chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities from 1986 to 1993, she published American Memory , a report that warned about the dangers of dwelling on such historical myths as "Native American Genocide," "Slavery," and "Japanese Concentration Camps." Mrs. Cheney believes that a system of education that fails to focus exclusively on flag-waving and how Christopher Columbus discovered America is complicit in nurturing a generation of USA-haters whose collective dream future involves being anally gang penetrated by a Godless army of Osama bin Laden clones. Today, as a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, she particularly emphasizes the value of rewriting our nation's history. "One of the important lessons we can learn is that Republicans invented freedom," she says. "This realization should make the irrational hatred we foment against progressives all the more visceral to the ignorant, and all the more worth intensifying through revisionist history and jingoistic propaganda."

Today, the politically correct storm troopers, operating from their positions as college professors, attack Western civilization, the bedrock values of the U.S., and white males. Their mentor appears to have been Sen. Joseph McCarthy (R.-Wis.), who trampled on individual liberty in his zeal to expose communism.

Nahant, Massachusetts (65A Bass Point Rd.) The accumulated knowledge we share among our fellow humans will be for naught if the wisdom we learn is lost in the detail of definitions, and the categorization of our existence. If we are unable to keep our sense of wonder of being alive in the universe or unable to communicate our respect for all living things then we will have failed in our passage on this planet. The wisdom of which I speak is the knowing that each thought we have, and each breath we take is a mirror of every particle that moves in the universe. To know that we are as bright as the sun, and as large as the universe gives one the feeling of a deep sense of gratitude and respect when addressing the future of the human race. If ever there was a time for humans to reconsider their destiny on this planet it is today. Each of us must communicate this need to give life a more meaningful place on a planet that radiates so majestically under the vault of heaven. Van De Bogart's ancestors

John Kennedy On November 22, 1963, when he was hardly past his first thousand days in office, John Fitzgerald Kennedy was killed by an assassin's bullets as his motorcade wound through Dallas, Texas. Kennedy was the youngest man elected President; he was the youngest to die. Of Irish descent, he was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, on May 29, 1917. Graduating from Harvard in 1940, he entered the Navy. In 1943, when his PT boat was rammed and sunk by a Japanese destroyer, Kennedy, despite grave injuries, led the survivors through perilous waters to safety. Back from the war, he became a Democratic Congressman from the Boston area, advancing in 1953 to the Senate. He married Jacqueline Bouvier on September 12, 1953. In 1955, while recuperating from a back operation, he wrote Profiles in Courage , which won the Pulitzer Prize in history.
