The document will print in the size you select. As I argued in Part II of this essay,  when viewed in terms of the three-fold poverty, education, and criminal-justice problem areas, there is little doubt that the lower-tier or “static-stratum” African-American families constitute the crisis-development fault line among African-Americans in the early 21st century. While fundamental solutions to the crisis-development fault line among poor and working-class African-Americans must be generated by national processes – political and economic – it is, I submit, an ancestral obligation of today’s Black elite to play a central role in finding resolutions to problems that still ravage the life chances of some 40% of African-Americans. Outreach-To-Black-Masses-Leadership Is A Moral Imperative This is an obligation-and-responsibility that comes down to us from the DuBoisian leadership legacy, initially formulated by W.E.B. DuBois in 1903 in

From Peace Magazine Dec 1989/Jan 1990, p.8. Author=Richard Sanders; Title=Merchants of Death Conference; URL=http://www.peacemagazine.org/archive/v05n6p08.htm
Merchants of Death Conference
Richard Sanders October 24 was chosen as the first day of Disarmament Week by the United Nations at its First Special Session on Disarmament in 1978. Canadian arms industries, however, showed disregard for the U.N.'s disarmament efforts by holding their annual conference in Ottawa between October 25-26. The Financial Post organized this "Merchants of Death" conference with the aid of some military publishers. It attracted about 400 of Canada's leading players in the international arms trade and some of their counterparts from Europe and the USA. The "Coalition to Oppose the Arms Trade" (COAT), which had organized a campaign against ARMX '89, demonstrated and portrayed the "Grim Reaper" in street theatre, depicting the true nature of their conference: "Reaping Profits with Grim Consequences." The entrance fee - $550 - in effect closed it to the public. What I know about the conference comes from three main sources: 1) mainstream media accounts (very limited), 2) reports in military and arms industry publications (very biased) and 3) conference materials which I excavated from waste baskets under registration tables (very interesting!). One of the speakers was Dietrich S. Buehrle, a convicted felon. Buehrle, chairman of Oerlikon-Buehrle Holding Co., based in Zurich, Switzerland, had been convicted of selling military equipment to South Africa.

Compiled american Medical Biography in 1828. Tompkins accepted the vice Presidency and served from March 1817March 1825, and died in June 1825.
http://www.earlyrepublic.net/BIOG-T.htm
Brief Biographies from the Jackson/Van Buren Era (T):
Talbot, Henry Fox 1800 - 1877:
Englishman who invented a photographic process at the same time as Daguerre invented his (late 1830s), called the calotype. Invented a much improved (faster imaging) process in 1851.
Tammany - Late 17th Century:
A Delaware Indian chief for whom New York's Society of Tammany was named. Members of the Society, in the years of the early republic, often paraded in Indian costumes. "Tammany Hall" was an institution linked closely with New York's Democratic party, and eventually became of center of corruption.
Taney, Roger Brooke 1777 - 1874:
Andrew Jackson's post-Eaton Imbroglio attorney general (1831-33). From 1833 - 34 he was secretary of the treasury, doing what two earlier secretaries would not do - removing the federa deposits from the Bank of the United States, as ordered by Jackson. Once (in 1835) rejected by the Senate for associate Supreme Court Justice; he was nevertheless confirmed in 1836 as Chief Justice, succeeding John Marshall. His 1857 decision against the slave Dred Scott - which helped excite anti-slavery opinion in the north - is what he is best remembered for.
