    — Dutch Kindelberger, 1934 During the prosperous, whirling 1920s, aviation was in its childhood. Companies dedicated to airplane manufacturing, engines, propellers, passenger flight and support industries sprouted across the country. On Dec. 6, 1928, North American Aviation was incorporated in Delaware to become a holding company for many of these new ventures. In March 1930, it was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. North American Aviation, Inc., had interests in a number of leading airlines and aircraft manufacturing companies including the General Aviation Manufacturing Corporation, located at the Curtis-Caproni plant at Dundalk, Md. As part of the "New Deal" legislation during the Depression, the Air Mail Act of 1934 prevented an organization or its members engaged in any part of the aircraft industry from holding an airmail contract after Dec. 31, 1934. Therefore, North American’s airline interests were separated from its airplane-building concerns, and 39-year-old James Howard "Dutch" Kindelberger became President and General Manager of General Aviation, leaving a career as vice president of engineering at Douglas Aircraft.

    From the site:
Tyler was very thin all of his life.
While a 30 year old Congressman in Washington, Tyler developed an illness that remains difficult to diagnose. Based on Tyler's clear description of the illness it would today be described as a symmetric, generalized, subacute paralysis. His recovery was so slow and prolonged that he resigned from Congress for two years.

The History of Cinco de Mayo History Feedback Introduction
The holiday of Cinco De Mayo, The 5th Of May , commemorates the victory of the Mexicans over the French army at The Battle Of Puebla in 1862. It is primarily a regional holiday celebrated in the Mexican state capital city of Puebla and throughout the state of Puebla, with some recognition in other parts of the Mexico, and especially in U.S. cities with a significant Mexican population. It is not, as many people think, Mexico's Independence Day , which is actually September 16. Setting The Stage
The battle at Puebla in 1862 happened at a violent and chaotic time in Mexico's history. Mexico had finally gained independence from Spain in 1821 after a difficult and bloody struggle, and a number of internal political takeovers and wars, including the Mexican-American War (1846-1848) and the Mexican Civil War of 1858, had mostly wiped out the national economy.
During this period of struggle Mexico had accumulated heavy debts to several nations, including Spain, England and France, who were demanding payment. Similar debt to the U.S. was previously settled after the Mexican-American War. France was eager to add to its empire at that time, and used the debt issue to move forward with goals of establishing its own leadership in Mexico. Realizing France's intent of empire expansion, Spain and England withdrew their support. When Mexico finally stopped making any loan payments, France took action on it's own to install Napoleon's relative, Archduke Maximilian of Austria, as ruler of Mexico.

The Miller Center is housed in an ante-bellum mansion officially designated as a Virginia Historic Landmark. The mansion, built in 1856, is currently named Faulkner House in honor of American novelist William H. Faulkner. Although Faulkner never lived in the house, he taught as a Balch lecturer at the University of Virginia in the 1950s. Origins According to local tradition, the nineteen acres of land on which the Miller Center is located were part of an original tract of three thousand acres which King George II granted to David Lewis (for whom Lewis Mountain is named) and Joel Terrell. This land was deeded in two parcels, one in 1734 and the other in 1735. The large tract was the first royal grant west of the Rivanna River in what is now Albemarle County. Addison Maupin Little is known of the builder of the house, Addison Maupin (b. 1813) aside from his role as hotel keeper at the University of Virginia during the 1850s. "Hotels" were the university's dining halls. As envisioned by Thomas Jefferson, students would take their meals at four to six different hotels, specially designed structures spaced intermittently along the outer rows of dormitories. Hotel keepers leased the right from the university (at a commission of two percent of gross income) to provide students with meals; in turn, they collected set fees for board.
