From Sea to Sea... to Sea!
Occupying the northern-half of the North American continent, Canada has a land mass of 9,970,610 km², making it the second-largest country in the world after Russia. From West to East, Canada encompasses six time zones: Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern, Atlantic and Newfoundland (which is only 1/2 an hour greater than Atlantic). Canada's motto, "From Sea to Sea," is geographically inaccurate. In addition to its coastlines on the Atlantic and Pacific, Canada has a third sea coast on the Arctic Ocean, giving it the longest coastline of any country in the world.
To the south, Canada shares a 8,892km boundary with the United States of America. To the north, the Arctic Islands come within 800 km of the North Pole. Canada's neighbour across the Arctic Ocean is Russia. A Long Thin Band
Because of the extremely harsh northern climate, only 12 percent of the Canadian land mass is suitable for agriculture. Thus, most of the population live within a few hundred kilometres of the southern border, where the climate is milder, in a long thin band stretching between the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans. Numberless Lakes and Great Rivers
If you fly over Manitoba or northern Ontario in summer, you will see more water than land: lakes, big and small, so many that they could not possibly be counted. It has been estimated that Canada has one seventh of the world's fresh water. In addition to the Great Lakes, which it shares with the United States, Canada has many large rivers and lakes.

Introduction Wow, the realty market has taken a beating since 9-11 and the war against terrorism! With our economy in the dumps, many resource-based industry towns and agricultural regions are feeling the heat. They are in need of some new people to fill the jobs being vacated by retiring baby-boomers. They need doctors, teachers, carpenters, plumbers, salespeople, nurses, pavers, mill workers, cowboys, butchers, and farmers and many, many more- the list goes on! With many retirees moving to more moderate climates, the Come Live Here Realty Company is having a tough go of it as well. In desperation, they have decided to launch a campaign to re-populate rural Western Canada before these vibrant rural communities become a thing of the past. Natural resource and agricultural communities are the lifeblood of BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba and they can’t afford to lose any more people! Of course, that’s where YOU come in…

Definitions
Many in the most Western Provinces (British Columbia and Alberta) do not consider Manitoba part of Western Canada because Manitoba is, geographically speaking, located in the centre of Canada. Therefore, another possible division is to put Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia in Western Canada and Manitoba in Central Canada. Manitobans, however, consider themselves to be Western Canadians, and the Province's economy and history mirror its Western neighbours far more than Ontario and Quebec, which together are referred to as "Central Canada". Coastal British Columbia is sometimes separated and considered to be Pacific Canada due its distinct climate and to the strong difference in culture, which is more in line with the coastal regions of the
