Here are the addresses for local stations. If you write a letter of complaint to any of these stations, your letter must be kept in their public file for 3 years. If you see an offensive TV show, tell the general manager that his or her station is "not serving the public interest". That little statement is like a stake throught the heart of a vampire. A B C D ... Z U nlike books, which can be classified under a few key index terms, even small bodies of documents or short interviews may need to be indexed under dozens of specific subject entries. The index that follows serves to point you to collections or interviews in the preceding pages. It is an index to this publication rather than a definitive content index to the holdings of the Kennedy Library. Index terms are drawn primarily from the descriptions used in the alphabetical listings. Finding aids, inventories, box lists, the card index to oral history interviews, and other on-site aids remain the principal means of locating materials within collections or interviews held by the library. This index is designed as a convenience to help you identify collections or interviews potentially relevant to your topic. Remember that John F. Kennedy served as Representative (1947-52), Senator (1953-60), and President (1961-1963). His papers, therefore, contain documents of varying quantity and form on virtually every term indexed in the following pages as well as on subjects not chosen for inclusion in the index. Index terms for oral history interviews are less detailed as they do not provide subject content indexing. More often than not, though, subjects covered in interviews are apparent from descriptions used in this guide. Entries for interviews are simply reverse listings of oral history descriptions. For example, John Moors Cabot is described in the alphabetical listing of interviews as "Ambassador to Brazil (1959-61); Ambassador to Poland (1962-65). " His interview is indexed under "Ambassador to Brazil," "Ambassador to Poland," "Brazil," and "Poland. " One can assume that both positions are discussed in the interview. In addition, a cross-reference from "International affairs" and "Diplomats" refers the reader to "Ambassador. "
