Consumer Alert Please be careful when making your decision on jumping in the Alabama, Georgia and surrounding areas. There is a skydiving facility located in GA, with a sister operation in Alabama that uses deceptive tactics to lure you to book your skydive with them. They then do not provide what they promised by charging you more then the quoted price, and having you drive hundreds of extra miles so that you get to jump. Many skydiving facilities throughout the US have posted information about these people and what they do, and you can read some information from these other facilities at the sites listed below. http://www.funjumper.com/skyride/

Detailed biography of NCborn officer who commanded an alabama brigade in A.P. Hill's Light Division. Includes full history of his actions at Gettysburg.
http://www.rocemabra.com/~roger/tagg/generals/general59.html
CONFEDERATE THIRD CORPS, ANDERSON'S DIVISION, WILCOX'S BRIGADE 1,721 men
BRIGADIER GENERAL CADMUS MARCELLUS WILCOX

On the march to Gettysburg, Cadmus Wilcox was the most disgruntled brigadier in Lee's army. He was too much of a gentleman, however, too genial and good-natured, too averse to controversy to agitate for the major generalcy he knew he deserved. At the age of thirty-nine, he was older than most of the other professional soldiers who commanded brigades. At West Point, he had been in the Class of 1846 with George McClellan, Stonewall Jackson, and George Pickett; in the next class had been Powell Hill, Hood had been even later. All those men had risen higher. Wilcox had just saved the entire army with his delaying action at Salem Church during the Battle of Chancellorsville, and still he had not been promoted. Wilcox was ready to leave Lee's army for greener pastures. In an army of bearded men, Wilcox's strong jaw was clean-shaven; he was six feet tall, with high cheekbones and a well-tended mustache, and no hint of gray in his short, dark hair. His careful barbering bespoke his "no nonsense" approach to soldiering. But beside this habit of being "precise and insistent on precision," with a military exactness in his speech and manner while on duty, he was amiable in camp, generous, friendly, and informal, with the ability to laugh at himself. He was known for his non-regulation attirea short round jacket and a battered straw hat. His men called him "Old Billy Fixin."

Attention We would like to thank everyone who has called or written with your concern for the Alabama District during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. We faired much better than our neighbors in Mississippi and Louisiana. Please be in prayer for these areas. We had minimal damage to our churches in Alabama. Less than a dozen churches suffered damage and most of that was minor. If you want to lend your support to Katrina victims please contact your local Pastor or Sectional Presbyter. Some shipments have already been sent to the effected areas. You can also donate by going to www.UPCI.org Thanks and God Bless,
