UK Recruitment Project 2006
With the announcement of the RAF changing its force structure and reducing its personnel strength, the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) foresaw the opportunity to attract skilled personnel who have over six years military experience, to fill some of our vacancies. Accordingly, a project team has been formed to actively recruit personnel facing redundancy or retiring from the RAF and other ex-military personnel living in the UK. The RNZAF has already completed one recruitment drive out of the UK with successful applicants enlisting into the RNZAF between October 2005 and June 2006. This next recruitment drive is to target applicants who can enlist into the RNZAF between July 2006 and June 2007. UK Recruitment Project 2006
Re-enlistment Opportunities
We are seeking re-enlistment applications from former servicemen and women to fill key positions.

171 Paholyothin Road, Don Muang, Bangkok Welcome Most of the major Air Force museums throughout the western world are well patronised and documented, and we know what exhibits are held there. However, there are a considerable number of collections in Eastern Europe and Asia that are not so well known. The collection assembled by the Royal Thai Air Force is one of these. Firstly, I must point out that I am not a Thai citizen and I do not speak or write in the Thai language. My knowledge of this interesting country has been gained from several visits over the past few years. If anywhere here I seem to be critical of Thailand or its people, then I humbly apologise. Most visitors to Thailand are surprised to discover that the level of English comprehension within that country is surprisingly low. The average citizen, if not employed in a trade that deals directly with foreigners (tourism, retail, hospitality) has little knowledge of spoken English. Even within the tourist trade, if you deviate from the normally expected questions, the level of comprehension falls off quite remarkably.

You survived "Beast," spent seven months eating your meals at attention, carried boulders from Cathedral rock, and endured countless hours in "Jack's Valley." Corps Fixes Levees, Drains New Orleans

The Army Corps of Engineers continues to repair levees damaged by Hurricane Katrina and to pump out remaining floodwater in the city. About 80 percent of New Orleans was inundated by floodwater at the height of the disaster. As of Thursday, only about 40 percent of the city remained waterlogged. The engineers also are ensuring that the Mississippi River is navigable, providing emergency electric power and supplying ice and drinking water to residents. More
Terror Occurring During Times of Iraqi Progress

Because "democracy means failure for the insurgency" in Iraq, terrorists are employing violence across Iraq in an effort to derail the democratic process, said Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch, Multinational Force Iraq. However, Lynch said much progress is being made against the insurgency. Insurgents can't establish and maintain safe havens within the country and they have not stopped recruiting for the new Iraqi security forces, that now number 190,000 trained and equipped soldiers and police.
